Perez please show SOME class and take your name off the list. You can't have your cake and eat it too! You can't be the gossip queen, and then participating in the very thing you are gossiping about…hello?

Autism Speaks may be the biggest autism charity, but their "doom and gloom" attitude is unacceptable to many of us whose lives have been touched by autism.

I have two autistic kids and while they have their challenges, they are not suffering and our family is not falling apart.

I despise the pity I get from people who have tuned into Autism Speaks' mostly negative messaging.

Re: Sweet Jay – Jenny McCarthy is too much of a crackpot — even for Autism Speaks.

Perez - thank you for bringing awareness to Autism. I was not as informed as I should have been before my son was diagnosed. I appreciate you taking the time to select Autism for the Month of April.

Why is there a Perez Hilton one? He's not a celebrity… I think I'm gonna buy that one… and then proceed to crush it into little piece, then mail it to Perez so he can sniff it.

Just wanted to chime in on the Autism Speaks conversation. As a parent of a child with autism, I can assure you Autism Speaks does not speak for many of us. Autism Speaks blows into a town holds a walk collects money and it never trickles back down to the community. they spend millions on salaries and office expenses but take a look at what they give back to the community they are supposed to be working for. I can assure you it is very little.

I appreciate all the famous folks who think they are doing a good deed by helping kids with autism but unfortunately if you are helping Autism Speaks, you are mostly just helping Autism Speaks.

Jenny McCarthy, whether you agree with her views on autism or not, most likely knows that Autism Speaks is a black hole where money that should be going disappears into some fat cats pocket.

Autism Speaks financial records are easy to look up online. See for yourself where the money goes.

I totally support autism awarness but as a parent of a child with autism I can not endorse autism speaks due to the lack of support they give families directly. All there officers are very highly paid and that money could be used to help the kids instead of their pocketbook. I am glad jenny is not on this list and I thank her for it.

the money does filter down. do your research. they've only bin in the game about 5 years and have been instrumental in gettin a world day for awareness and check out their family service tools provided to anyone at no cost. that helped a friend of mine immensly when her kid was diagnosed they can't be all bad. great job lindt.
