      miley's performance was clearly PRE-TAPED and NOT LIVE last night, if you watch closely when they show the judge's panel it is clearly not randy, ellen, cara and simon sitting there…that means to me that they probably cleaned up her vocals before it aired!!! very shady for a show that's supposed to all about singing!

      A little pitchy? Not bad? She squeezes out her notes like she is constipated. I don't understand why this generation has to have the whiney sound to all there notes. Who the hell started this style of singing, John Mayer? This is worse than that Japanese Beatles cover band.       she has an incredibly nasally whiny voice…. just…not…a….fan. at all. the whole time I was watching her last night I kept thinking it was prerecorded vocals too, which didn't help her much. At least the girl's makeup looked fantastic.

      So yes, I'll use pitchy too to describe the train wreck that is Miley's singing (and speaking) voice live.

      I heard a song with Miley and her father singing a duet. It was actually very pretty– don't know the name of the song, but it was something about butterflies. Anyway, I just thought Miley sounded natural on that song–not forced. She should stick to singing duets with her daddy.

      The problem with them is their voices are not unique or different. They both have common voices. Thats why Disney was never able to market them to high superstar status but they are still both good.

I'm sure many singers are "off pitch" and have "pitch problems" but a singers voice being "pitchy"(by definition of the word) is impossible. So, you go ahead and continue to sound and be ignorant and use the word "pitchy" when describing singing voices…….just like Randy- cuz, you know, he's Webster's dictionary…….
