Carrie Underwood Grocery Shops At Midnight To Avoid Crowds!

She gets panic attacks from crowds and she's a celebrity?!
Not a good mix, but to alleviate some of her self-proclaimed anxiety from crowded places Carrie Underwood does her food shopping late at night to avoid the hustle and bustle of the grocery store. She explains:
"I'm horrible in crowds. I just get so nervous… I don't like shopping in close quarters. I just cannot do that. I wash the make-up off… and I'm in a ponytail, glasses, my sweatpants.
"People won't tell me, 'Are you Carrie Underwood?' They'll say, 'Wow, you look like Carrie Underwood.'"

Poor Carrie. I hate crowds too. I get really annoyed and feel claustrophobic during Xmas shopping season especially. People are pushy and rude and it's best to shop online these days. lol

Wow. She should deal with that. Getting too far removed from the mainstream can foster that kind of unease. Ease right on back in, purposefully, so that it ceases to feel foreign. With her level of fame, perhaps alternately she needs to delegate shopping and not feel guilty about it if people don't respect her space, and accept the new lifestyle without qualms.

Forget MONTHS! It is close to a year ago. She said this when she was on Oprah. It was recorded before she won Entertainer of the Year at the ACM, but aired after the ACM! Nothing new here!

oh this bitch is full of herself…i work at a grocery store…and no we will not go oh wow u look like carrie underwood…we would be saying in our head bitch we close in 10 minutes please get ur shit and get out!!!!!…just so u know we hate it hate it when shoppers come in 10 minutes to closing and try to do a whole weeks worth of shopping in 10 minutes we curse u and we hope u get food poisening from all the food u just bought….i mean really thats the equivelent of ur boss telling u u have to stay late cause some dipwad called in sick…its the same thing if ur a food server cleaning up and getting ready to close and ur the last person that straggle on in just before the doors are to be locked people are so selfish it makes me sick….and dont get me wrong overtime pay is good but we also get in trouble with the big boss over overtime pay so either way we get screwed

I'm quite sure there are more people in Albertson's at midnight, than there are at one of her chili cookoff/concert/rodeos.
I live in Ottawa (where her fiance plays hockey) and I've heard from people around here who have met her that she is very nice… and I know firsthand that her hubby is a sweetie too
I always get claustophobic in malls and the first thing I look for when I walk in are exits. If I see them right away, I feel a liitle better, so I pretty much don't go to malls any more. I can totally understand what Carrie goes through. Being as famous as her doesn't help especially with most people today wanting to know everything about famous people, the good and the bad. I know it would probably make me more paranoid

I'm just like her. Every time I must grocery shop I go to Super Wal-Mart (open 24/7) at around midnight. The place is always jampacked during the day making the whole process take too long from finding a spot to park to check out at the register
