Green Day Sued!

An El Lay artist is suing Green Day for using his work without his permission.
Dereck Seltzer created an image of a "frightened, fang-toothed face" that the band used on their website, music video and concerts in 2009. Dereck says his work has been copyrighted and he was never asked or compensated from the band to use it.
Team Green Day says that they receive the image from a "responsible" company and were "unaware" that they had broke any copyright issues.
Sounds like a case of miscommunication to us. Throw him a little green to make his day and move on, we say. That's all he is after anyway.

Its LA not El Lay you fucking idiot. None of your phrases will ever catch on. Who the fuck wants to copy you. Just type dick face!
GREEN DAY R0CKS!!!!
"That's all he is after anyway." Yeah no shit. The guy had a copyrighted piece of his artwork used without his consent or knowledge. He should have been compensated fairly for that - period. Don't make him sound like an asshole for wanting to be paid.
green day fucking sucks more dick than a squad of thai hookers with lock jaw
Green Day is innocent!~
They should be sued for being shit!
that just looks like a shepard fairey "obey" poster rip-off
They made 12.8 million dollars last year, so I don't think Billie, Mike and Tre are too concerned about being sued. And I agree about the image is an Obey rip off anyway. So in my opinion, it's Dereck that should be being sued. What music video did they even use this image in anyway? I haven't seen it, and they didn't use it at the concert I went to.
This is in no way a Shepard Fairey rip off. I know Dereck and he is an incredible artist. Green Day should most definitely make it right!
