New Evidence Paints Horrific Picture Of Vatican!

New files pertaining to the Vatican were unveiled yesterday exposing certain members of the Catholic Church as two-faced hypocrites. Apparently, there is documentation revealing the Vatican's decision to allow a priest to remain at his post after it was confirmed he molested as many as 200 deaf boys!

In 1996, Milwaukee's archbishop contacted the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which decides the fate of accused priests, about Rev. Lawrence C. Murphy, who was working at a renowned school for deaf children and was being charged with molesting his students. A secret canonical trial was in the midst of being set up when the good Reverend personally wrote to the Cardinal in charge, insisting that he should not be put on trial because "he had already repented and was in poor health and that the case was beyond the church’s own statute of limitations."

That's a lot of bullshit to cram into one sentence. And it worked! He was never defrocked or charged with anything! What's worse is that three separate archbishops of the church were alerted of the Reverend's crimes and not one reported it to the police. Victims who approached officials themselves were dismissed without any investigation.

This new information comes on the heels of an investigation against the current Pope Benedict. There are accusations that he and his subordinates also did not alert civilian authorities or discipline priests involved in sexual abuse cases when he served as an archbishop in Germany and as the Vatican’s chief doctrinal enforcer.

Fantastic. Great choice of leadership, folks.

Oh, and as if they needed even more damaging evidence against them, consider this disturbing statistic:

"Only 20 percent of the 3,000 accused priests whose cases went to the church’s doctrinal office between 2001 and 2010 were given full church trials, and only some of those were defrocked."

We think that is a great message of faith to your followers!

In my opinion I think the Catholic church is just one big Mafia. They have the power and more money then any other religion. They did'nt get this power and money from praying anymore or any different then the rest of the religions. I think they got it from mob members and crime organazations thru the years. Yeh they have done a bang up job! lol Their are alot of Catholic followers but still to have as many resources that they have in this church is at the very least questionable. They need to be investigated for more then molestation. Like all the other cases about priests and boys it will be swept under the table. But just like the rest of us they will have to answer to higher judge then their Pope some day.

Religion. Some old, white fart, closed minded, republican…. long long long long ago wrote a book and managed to get a few people to follow his beliefs and since….. the following has grew and grew with the book (bible(s)) changing as the centuries and cultures dictate. People are so afraid of death, they have to hold on to a dream about the glorified heavens and life after death. Each to their own I guess. In my opinion most priests are men who have been berated by society for being gay and end up trying to live the straight life through god and not succeeding and unfortunately their easiest, quickest and discreet way of getting their rocks off involve young boys who cannot stand up for themselves as real men are able to do. I am by no means saying gays and molesters go hand in hand. Closeted people oppressed by religion and starch republicans try and live the straight life and find out they cannot be CURED and out of that fear of living their true life they make the wrong decisions and it's the children who pay for it.

Re: traliyah – A very sad truth you've just spoken. I was raised catholic, went to a catholic school and saw first hand how the first nation kids were treated. i was treated like shit too because i came from a broken home.
this has been swept under the rug for way too long.

Re: whocares2010 – what would you suggest people do? keep their mouths closed, turn the other cheek so the horrible abuse can go on. That has gone on way too long. When people get angry enough, long enough, things sometimes change. this needs to happen here. saying terrible things yes, but they are truths. these things are really happening. People are speaking out because they are tired of the sick abuse being done while hiding behind the name of religion and God! Time to open your mind and realize what is really happening. people are not angry for without reason. Is your mind nailed shut?

In Haiti during the nineties a priest who had Aids infected about 300 little boys after having sex with them and it was the worst case I had ever heard of.The Catholic church never removed that priest from his post. His name was father Edner Devalcin. He is dead now from Aids and I heard the church celebrated his funeral like he was a king.

  6. 106

I am Catholic and I am PROUD to be one. Obviously these priests are messed in the head and it is NOT okay to assume all are like that!!! Please don't hate on the Catholics!

  7. 107

it seems like nearly all the priests are sick, child molesting perverts. I am so sick of this bullshit, i wish they would take care, but they just don`t.
How is one supposed to believe in the church???

  8. 108

    hahahaha. oh god :)

  9. 109

Whats disturbing to me, is the ignornace this Nation has to the News Media. You people believe ANYTHING you read and hear on the news or websites and it's quite frightening. This website writes a blog, Where are the facts and the proof?? Are you kidding me? One of my FB friends posted this on their page and I started reading these comments and I couldnt beleive it. Show me some facts!

  10. 110

i think this is absolutely ridiculous. where is the justice?
oh i asked god for forgiveness so i shouldnt be punished?!
    what a bunch of bullshit!
i feel sorry for the poor boys that were molested and will never get any kind of justice.

I was raised Catholic. I'm not surprised at the actions of the church. They've been money grubbing, lying and doing other dastardly things since the dark ages. I am not saying that Catholicism itself is bad. But the way the church has behaved over the years is less than Christ-like.

    a pedophile is a pedophile.

they should all be castrated without exceptions.

  14. 114

Re: noteab003 – I understand that they need to be punished, anyone who commits these crimes needs to be punished and I am not excusing the fact that it was just brushed under the rug. When you say that the 'Church teaches' you had better have the proper understanding of what exactly that means. Are you a Catholic? Have you read the bible? Have you read the Catechism of the Catholic Church or any other writing on the Church and its teachings? I am assuming you haven't because the Catholic Church is not against being a homosexual, no in the Bible you can find that God created those sexual acts and marriage between a man and a woman. It never says that if you are gay then your a sinner or going to hell. What you do, is the sin, not who you are. God calls us to love one another, and he also calls us to leave the judgments to him, the Creator. And the fact that the Church believes that every human has the right to life, does not mean the church is trying to deny women their rights. It means that we are taught that from conception it is a life, and when you end it, whether you are 2 days, weeks, or months along, you are killing. Its what we believe and are taught as Catholics. Just because we believe in Pro-Life does not mean we believe women can't choose.

  15. 115

Re: noteab003 – It means that we think women should choose life, because every single life on this planet is a gift that God gave you. So, if you are going to spout out your criticisms, you had better know what you are talking about. The Church are hypocrites? No. Not the Church. Not the religion. Not the faith. Those who did these things are the hypocrites and the sinners. Do not lump the entire millions and millions of Catholics into the mistakes and sins of others. That is simply arrogant.

  16. 116

priests are people just like everyone else. so the public needs to stop acting like this only happens in the catholic church. and "thebraveoutside" there has been a pope since Peter a disciple of Jesus became the first one, which was about a bit more than a thousand years ago. i doubt the vatican will just become a ghost town in 30 years…

Re: KDIZZLL – lmao ure fucking psycho hahahaha

  18. 118

Re: lou019 – most of us know and do not "act like it only happens in the catholic church" the anger stems from the fact that nothing is done about it most times. the higherups in the church just remove the priest and place him somewhere else. this cannot be swept under the rug anymore. Of course we know it happens in all walks of life, every race, every denomination not just catholics. But this is the subject at hand right now.

To all those hypocrites, including the Pope, that consider themselves true Catholics and servants of the Lord, you are all nothing but a bunch of evil devils that should burn in Hell for eternity!!! Now I see what Sinead O'Connor meant when she tore up the picture of the pope on SNL and said "fight the real evil"-she was right!!!!!

  20. 120

This thing of a man, should be taken out of power! He eats babies for supper…

  21. 121

Cause he is just a dick on a bike… thats why he can't help it. Sandy should have just took that dick for a ride, and then get off, and go straight to the doctors. She still needs to go to Docs.

  22. 122

Re: TurtleDove7 – Look, I was raised Catholic, in a dominantly Catholic small town and have literally been witness to an actual priest stating in his sermon that homosexuality is "wrong", among many other oppressive things. I never said that there was anything wrong with choosing to believe and follow Catholicism - do whatever the hell you want just keep other people out of it. Just because you believe something about life beginning at conception doesn't mean that everyone does. That is your philosophy, because that's all religion is - a philosophy.

  23. 123

Re: TurtleDove7 – Anyways, all of this is really besides the point. The point is that the very center of an institution which you believe in has made a terrible mistake, thousands of terrible mistakes and innocent children have been hurt. You just stated that it is the individuals themselves that should be punished - not the Catholic church - which is absolutely correct. How then is it justifiable that the head of the Catholic Church, the Pope himself, is not holding these individuals, who are supposed to represent the precious Catholic church, responsible???? This is the issue. It's not about the people who follow Catholicism, or the religion itself, but the actions of these individuals who are making you all look bad. Why are you not angry with them? Instead of arguing with those who are pissed that such a world renowned institution could let something like this go unpunished you should be writing letters to these bastards who are basically traders to your faith. Seriously, the people defending the innocent children on this blog are not to blame for your anger.

  24. 124

The Catholic church is currently running paid commercials out here (Seattle area) asking Catholics to "return home!" Yeah, the church wants their "TITHING MONEY" to help pay for all of the lawsuits that the church has been found GUILTY of! What nerve! What JACKHOLES!

  25. 125

    butt fucking away

  26. 126

Re: noteab003 – Alright, we were obviously taught different things by our Priests as to what we believe in our Church and our faith. No argument there because I can't control that your priest stated that. To me, Religion, or at least Catholicism is not philosophy, its based on the teachings of Jesus and what is written in God's word, The Bible. Whether you think it is philosophy or not is your opinion, but that is no fact. The fact that these accusations have not been taken seriously and actions haven't been taken are sad, yes. It should be taken care of. Yes, the Pope is the head of the Church. So in a way, yes he should take action to prevent these same men from continuing in their sin. But you say you were raised Catholic? Does Reconciliation ring a bell? Penance? Absolution of Sin? There is no sin that is too big for God. His mercy is go great that there is nothing he can't forgive. These men messed up, and they should be held accountable for their actions, but that doesn't mean that the Pope is responsible for every sin someone in the Church does. I am upset with the actions, but I know that sin is an evil terrible thing. The Pope also knows this. And who is to say he hasn't or won't take action? We don't know what he, or anyone will do in the future. I hope he can rectify these events.

  27. 127

Re: noteab003 – I am angry at the people who blame the Church. They blame the Church and the Pope for someone's sin. That's not right. They are not the ones to blame for these people's actions. The consequences of the actions yes, but the actual actions, how can they be held responsible? People should not be stemming their anger off the fact that the Pope or the Church is responsible for WHAT these men did. I do agree that they are responsible for the consequences. But none of us can tell the Pope or anyone for that matter what to do. All we can do is pray that the right thing is done.

  28. 128

Re: TurtleDove7 – People aren't mad at the Pope or the Church for what the individual abusers did. People are mad that the Pope and the Church covered up these crimes and let these abusers keep their jobs.

Also, if the law doesn't exist to tell people what to do, then what exactly is its purpose? The law doesn't just pray that people do the right thing - they enforce the laws, and when people commit crimes the law brings them to justice. The pope covered up these crimes - which is a crime in itself. So you can pray all you want that the pope will do the right thing, but it's too late because he didn't do the right thing and now he deserves to be brought to justice, along with all of the offenders.
