Twenty Docs Receive Subpoenas In Connection To Corey Haim's Death

Sad.
As of today, approximately 20 doctors have been issued subpoenas requesting they give up evidence in connection to the death of actor Corey Haim.
Whether these doctors were involved in the drug ring Corey was previously connected to is unknown, but sources believe that this step with further fuel the theory that Corey died of drug overdose.
To fuel the fire, though the cause of death still remains a mystery, California's Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. revealed the actor had obtained an illegal order for painkiller OxyContin, which may be another reason the twenty doctors received subpoenas.
However, how helpful the doctors will be is yet to be seen. Already, seven of the docs claim to have never even having met Corey, much less prescribe medications to him.
This is sure to get much worse before it gets any better. Very sad.

No one forced the pills down his throat.
What happen to taking responsibility for your actions? Everybody always says its someone elses fault. This just makes it harder for people who do need those meds and uses them appropately. SAd, that people are always looking to point the fingder elsewhere when it comes down to it, the people taking the drugs need to be the ones to take responsiabilty.
I'm glad to hear that there's some good coming out of Corey's death.
People that abuse pain medication to the point of death and of course Paula Abdul, give us people who have to take narcotic pain meds to function a bad name. All this crap makes doctors scared to prescribe pills to those who are really in need. Thank god my Pain Management Dr. at the clinic is not crooked and prescribes. After a horrid car wreck I need opiates and benzos so I can live my life! errrrr. RANT-over.
Perez, keep saying how this is "so sad" and pretending like you give a crap but I don't recall you ever saying one nice thing about Corey when he was alive. In fact, I remember you making fun of him and saying you were surprised that he hadn't been found dead from ODing. Shut up, because he has fans that have cared about him for years and people loved him LONG before anyone even knew the name Perez Hilton….oh wait, MARIO!!
Spot on Poindexter! Why is it now when celebrity's OD it's someone else's fault? That's a load of crap. Besides, I thought he said he was clean. (Ya, right.)
Man those are some jacked up eyebrows.
Are the drugs he took responsible for the feminization of his face?? He looks like a girl, a butch girl, but a girl never the less. Something like Chaz Bono
I had to create an account and post for the first time in response to RNB007 and racingwhorses. I suffer from a neurological disease so painful it is called "The Suicide Disease" and yet because of drug abusers, getting my monthly supply of painkillers is like pulling teeth.
However, most people who don't understand drug addiction have never been on addictive drugs. At first I was put on Vicodin, which is a VERY addictive drug and tolerance grows quickly. It wasn't long before I started looking at mail order pharmacies to supplement what wasn't working anymore - that, or kill myself from the pain (the disorder is Trigeminal Neuralgia if you don't believe me).
Fortunately, instead of going that route, I was switched to methadone, which doesn't give that "high" drug abusers need, unless you take like 15 doses I suppose, but I don't. Point being, RNB007, someone feels your pain. And not all drug addicts start that way. No one forced the pills down MY throat either, but I didn't start taking Vicodin because I wanted a high; I took it because my doctor Rx'd it for my excrutiating pain.
corey haim was such an out of control lesbian.
Re: ItsJP2 – I am SO sorry about your disorder
I am also on Methadone 3 times a day and 30mg Roxicodone for break through pain. I started out the same way Vicodin 5/500 and up from there. I am actually happy with the Methadone. Since I am going to be on something forever, at least I do not have the highs and lows and ups and downs. It is sad people in pain are sometimes stigmatized (I have had dirty looks picking up my meds from the pharmacist before at CVS!). And what is even worse is the people out there that have to suffer in pain because some doctors are too scared to prescribe. Well I wish you all the best!!
