That didn't take long!

On Monday, Megan Mullally pulled out of her latest Broadway gig amongst rumors that she had problems with the high-profile and ill-mannered director, Joe Mantello. This morning, The Roundabout Theatre Company announced that entire production of Lips Together,Teeth Apart had been cancelled. The Artistic Director sited problems with the "production schedule" as the cause for the cancellation, but suggested they were "exploring" new options to get the show off the ground.

In other words, they can't find anyone to replace Megan!

With all the out-of-work actresses in the world, you wouldn't think they would have THAT much of a problem. Maybe you haven't looked through your Rolodex too aggressively!

"The Artistic Director "SITED" problems with…"

You mean the AD went out and saw problems with the production scehdule. They acutually SAW the problems, with their eyes?! What, it was just sitting out there on some desolate, barren plain?

I think you meant to write "cited," with a "c."

Nothing like some top-notch quality control and proofreading!!

Cripes, Perez. As was reported by the New York Times Theatre Section earlier this week - MM couldn't stand working with the comedian Patton Oswalt. (Comedians often have a learning curve when it comes to legit theatre.) Anyway, Patton didn't improve despite the director's assurances to MM that he would. So MM quit.

1st- I agree that Miss Lohan is the obivous replacement. 2nd- Meg is getting tons of negatives said about her - seems the sitcom star of yesterday is a pain to work with.

Looking forward to seeing MM back on the Bway.. but good for her. Nobody should have to put up with shit if it affects their artistic intregrity… professional or not.. MM made the right decision. I hope she doesn't get a "mercury poison" fall out though….
