Xtina Talks New Album!

| Filed under: Christina AguileraMusic Minute

christinaaguilera0324.jpg

As Christina Aguilera releases her new album Bionic, she's bringing a new sound and it's ahead of her time! But it isn't just the future that's inspiring her new sound. She's also crediting her 2-year-old son Max.

She said:

“I’m so excited — I’ve had an idea for a futuristic feel for many years now. It's always been in the back of my mind to do a more futuristic sound. I was inspired by artists that I am collaborating with on the album. Folks like Sia, Ladytron and Goldfrapp.”

I felt like it couldn't been a better time or place for me personally, also as a new mom. Max has so much of both of us. One day, everyone says he looks just like Jord, and the next, like me. He is walking and talking, and a bundle of joy!”

So sweet! We can't wait to hear what lil' Max inspires!

Let's see who Slagulera has plagiarised this time.

  2. 2

it seems like xtina is heading the GAGA route.
    -
didn't she make comments like, 'who is this person?' about lady gaga?

  3. 3

    GOOD FOR HER.
SHE IS NEVER SEEN OUT BAR HOPPING, CLUBBING, OR GETTING HIGH. SHE SEEMS LIKE A GOOD MOTHER AND SHE HAS ONE OF TH BEST VOICES IN THE WORLD. I ALMOST THINK SHES UNDERATED AT TIMES.

  4. 4

Remember when you accused Christina of copying Gaga to get attention for your wifey? Your such an ass Perez!!

  5. 5

    CAN'T WAITTTTTTTT! :D

  6. 6

I love her so much, she's a true artist. I can't wait to hear her new album, she always creates perfect.
Oh, and this cover is sooo HOT!

  7. 7

As long as she doesn”t become like the other Illuminati puppets: GaGa, Rihanna, Beyonce and Jay Z.

    So Excited OMG :)

  9. 9

she's a bit late to hop on the futuristic/electronictized voice bus, isn't she? lady gaga, black eyed peas, kanye did it, just to name a few. the futuristic theme albums are getting old and boring now! think of something new jesus christ. and this is coming from a christina FAN!!!

  10. 10

looks to me that she wants to make sure we know it's years she has the "futuristic" vibe . she is afraid to be call a copycat .

  11. 11

haha - what a liar "I've had this in my head for years! I'm not copying anyone!"
    I still like her though

  12. 12

Hey, at least she is semi-normal and sane. Not into drugs or alcohol and she seems like a great mom. Unlike a few others Hmmmmm who could they be? I'll be buying her CD.

  13. 13

She's still around? And still trying to look as slutty as possible? Wow. How very sad. The poor man's Britney is now the poor man's Gaga.

  14. 14

Madonna wannabe with her look, but girl can sing. I do love her voice. But in regards to her son, she better hope that the trend of him looking like her hubby doesn't last. Sorry - but that guy is extremely NOT good looking. Actually she isn't a classic beauty either.

  15. 15

A "futuristic sound?" However will she encapsulate a sound that lays ahead of us. Perhaps she should concentrate on medicine and release some "futuristic drugs" for the benefit of everyone right now.

  16. 16

Desperately trying to stay current after calling LGG a man; trying to make up for it by ripping her off. Can you feel the Disney fake?

  17. 17

So… you're warning us ahead of time that your new album is going to rip off GaGa. Just wait kids…

  18. 18

SOME OF YOU PEOPLE ARE SO DENSE I SWEAR.

HOUSE/ELECTRO/TECHNO/FUTURISTIC MUSIC HAS BEEN OUT FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

LADY GAGA DID NOT BRAND THAT TYPE OF MUSIC. I HAVE TO LAUGH AT YOU PEOPLE WHO THINK SHE DID. AS A MATTER OF FACT, LADY GAGA SINGS WATERED DOWN DANCE MUSIC.

CHRISTINA IS WORKING WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE FUTURISTIC SOUNDS FOR LIKE 20 YEARS NOW.

REALLY, STOP GIVING GAGA CREDIT FOR SHIT SHE DIDN'T INVENT. SHE DID NOT INVENT FUTURISTIC SOUNDS SO HOP OFF HER SHIT.

CHRISTINA IS THE VOICE OF OUR GENERATION AND IF SHE WANTS TO DO HOUSE/TECHNO/FUTURISTIC MUSIC THEN SHE CAN DO THAT BECAUSE NO ONE IN OUR GENERATION INVENTED IT.

SO STOP CALLING HER A COPYCAT BECAUSE THAT SHOWS HOW MUCH YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW ABOUT MUSIC.

  19. 19

ANYONE FROM NEW YORK CITY KNOWS IT'S THE NEW YORK CITY CLUB SCENE THAT STARTED THAT TYPE OF MUSIC AND LADY GAGA'S STYLE STRAIGHT JACKS THE OLD NEW YORK CITY CLUB SCENES FROM THE EARLY 90'S

SO ORIGINAL? I DON'T THINK SO.

  20. 20

    HEY PEREZ,

WHY DON'T YOU POST UP PICS OF THE NEW YORK CITY CLUB KIDS OLD CRAZY OUTFITS AND POST UP SOME OF LADY GAGA'S BECAUSE SOME OF THOSE OUTFITS LOOK EXACTLY ALIKE.

HOW ABOUT YOU SHOW THESE PEOPLE HOW LADY GAGA RIPPED HER WHOLE BLOOD BATH/ FAME MONSTER SHIT FROM MICHAEL ALIG AND THE NEW YORK CITY CLUB KIDS FROM BACK IN THE 90'S.

  21. 21

"It's all been done before" "She's copying this person" "She's so unorginal" BLAH BLAH BLAH.. Practically everything's been done before. If you all cared so much for originality as you seem to act, you'd be listening to people like friggin' Yoko Ono.

  22. 22

im liking the preview of her new song - different to her previous stuff
and not like tranny for all yous who say she copies her lol

  23. 23

btw - watch her nissan live set from b2b in 2006 where she says her next album will be futuristic; so much for her being a liar lol

  24. 24

I am excited to hear what her new music sounds like!

  25. 25

I heard a snippet of it!!!! omg omg omg! it's a hot track for sure!! yay i couldnt believe it when i heard it!

  26. 26

Re: futurummRe: BeNiceYall – But she has had this idea for years. There are quotes from back in 2007 that she has stated she wanted to do this. I've been waiting for almost 3 years for this electronic sound! (sorry a little Christina stanism)

  27. 27

P.S. I heard a snippet of her song… nothing like GaGa, but oh so, HOT!!!

  28. 28

    She is a real artist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. 29

she needs to go away already…her last album was a flop (boogie woogie) please NO

  30. 30

Re: HAPYGOLESLIE – If you call 4 million worldwide a flop… okay then… Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it was a flop.

  31. 31

    AWWW

  32. 32

this bitch does nothing but hop on everyone elses bandwagon.

  33. 33

She 'does nothing but hop on everyone else's bandwagon'?? Who the HELL else was doing a throwback album to the big band sounds of the 20s, 30s, and 40s back in 2006 aside from her?

OH YEAH, that's right….NO ONE ELSE WAS. Britney was married to a loser with a baby pup then, and Lady Gaga was still tucking his k0CK up with tape onstage, dressing like a tranny and ripping Winehouse's look begging any open-minded record exec for a big break.

Christina has always been the one not afraid to evolve and change. Plus…since she possesses the MULTI-OCTAVE range that Gaga, Beyonce, and Britney FAIL TO HAVE, hearing her tackle new music genres is a treat….you get to experience ALL POSSIBILITIES with her beautiful voice.

I can NOT WAIT for Bionic.

  34. 34

Futuristic, old school jazz, or just plain pop! She has one thing that a lot of the other bitches lack, a singing voice. Thats one thing that always sets her apart from the rest. i hear this time around she is doing thing never done be4 with her voice. Can't wait!! love Xtina!!!!!

  35. 35

Re: getOffiTalready – guess its you that's dense! Who do you think introduced Lady Gaga to the industry? It was LADYTRON, whom she worked with prior to donning the name Lady Gaga. And yes Lady Gaga has made this music very mainstream. Kanye and black eyed peas were doing it but they didn't have nearly as much success as Gaga has had. Stop hating Christina is going to come off as copying gaga AFTER she hated on gaga publicly saying she didnt know this gaga, is it a man or woman what? Now she will look like an idiot in my eyes.

  36. 36

I hope she actually makes a decent album. She has put her fans on hold for 3+ years, hell a couple of years ago we thought she was putting out a new album, only to put "keeps gettin better" with her greatest hits. Keeps getting better was a total Gaga ripoff, then she acted like she did not even know who she was. I hope she brings a new act this time, Xtina was awesome. Hell even the Marilyn Monroe inspired album was alright. I prefer her two ways, belting out ballads, and creating a unique album like stripped. That album was platinum, with so many awesome songs on it. And they were all unique and soul searching tracks. Be unique Christina, you are a lot more fun that way!!!

  37. 37

    Re: Tiffany625

Gaga NEVER worked with Ladytron. You need to check your facts

And Gaga was unknown at the time that Prez accused Christina of copying her (seriously…I had no clue if Gaga was a man or woman then either….still don't! Haha).

Gaga hasn't made this music mainstream….it always was! Britney did Toxic wayyyyy before Gaga came on the scene. Madonna had Hung Up and the ENTIRE Confessions album before Gaga even knew how to apply dick tape crrectly to hide her manbits.

GET OFF GAGA'S DISGUSTING SAGGY BALLS AND GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. CHRISTINA IS NOT RIPPING OFF ANYONE.

  38. 38

Keeps Getting Betters sounds NOTHING like Gaga. She was inspired by Goldfrapp for that song. It is similar in cmposition to Ooh La La by Goldfrapp. NOTHING by Gaga sounds REMOTELY similar to Goldfrapp's catalogue.

  39. 39

I see the Illuminati have recruited her as well.

  40. Jai says – reply to this

    40

    She wants to be Gaga.

  41. 41

I'm a huge fan of Christina's. I think she's extremely talented and deserves quite a bit more respect and positive attention than she typically gets. That being said, I do have my criticisms of her. Based on the 18-second clip I heard of her new single on her website, I would say that this song sounds a bit like a cross between the hard edge of "Dirrty" and the style of "Tell Me" (the song she did with Diddy about 5 years ago). After hearing the clip, it's hard for me to say whether or not people will love this direction. It seemed like Christina had built up some real industry credibility, and this single/album could contradict all of that. I do think the "futuristic" album sound concept is pretty tired now, but maybe Christina will do it better than the Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga. Hopefully, the bulk of the album will be of the caliber of the final track on her greatest hits album, "You Are What You Are (Beautiful)" (an electronic reinterpretation of "Beautiful").

  42. 42

Wow a futuristic feel just as Gaga, Ke$ha, La Roux, and Little Boots are bringing that to the mainstream. Hm sounds fishy

  43. 43

Re: getOffiTalready – hey bitch we all know that that "futuristic sound" had been out for many years but when you have this girl who has been a cookie cutter pop star for years all of a sudden wants to change as soon as these big stars are bringing it to the mainstream hmm it sounds fishy

  44. 44

    Re: Talandria

LMAO she has been working on this album since late 2007. She took a year off for her baby. Her primary mentors and inspirations for this time around are people that NO ONE ELSE has used on the mainstrea, platform - Sia. Goldfrapp, Ladytron, M.I.A., and Santigold.

How is Lady Sagggy Balls Gaga done anything similar??

  45. 45

not your self tonight then your the devil people she is junk show openn your eyes she is bad

  46. 46

    I CAN'T WAIT!

  47. 47

    Re: GoodBoyNC – True!

  48. Charr says – reply to this

    48

She actually has had this idea for a LONG time, 4 years exactly, If you youtube 'Christina Aguilera - Interview (Nissan Live) Fan Q&A Part 2' She clearly says 'If I go to a more FUTURISTIC idea I might reach out to her' (Bjork an ELECTRO POP ARTIST)… So before you accuse her get your facts straight. Cause all you're doing is creating preconceived notions about what you WANT to believe, Jesus.

  49. Charr says – reply to this

    49

Re: Tiffany625 – Christina never dissed Gaga, that was something the tabloids created to create a feud. If you actually researched on youtube you can see an interview Christina did with Ryan Secrest asking her if she has heard about that Gaga comparisons and she says 'I Dont know much about HER'.. I swear, if you're gonna hate at least have buy-able proof.

  50. 50

i've got nothing against xtina, but please. when i first glanced at the photo i thought it was lady gaga. then when i read "i've had an idea for a futuristic feel for many years now…" that right away sounded like a disclaimer… "i've had this idea for YEARS… this is not me copying gaga."

she's jealous as hell that lady gaga is the QUEEN of originality. good luck trying to find something different to do that gaga hasn't already done, xtina. you'd be best stick to your own style and come up with your own ideas.

  51. 51

    Re: wildflowerr

LMAO Lady Sag Sag Balls is the Queen of Originality? When she ripped of Roisin's aesthetic down to a T!? Please. Exit stage left. NOW. Idiot.

  52. 52

Copying Lady Gaga> Xtina has been doing her thing for a lot longer and lets not forget her shock blonde do was out before Gaga. If anything Gaga has set out to out-do the best in the biz. Too bad Gaga needs stupid fashion and shock lyrics to get attention because she doesn't have Xtina's pipes. Can't wait for the new album!

  53. 53

Are some of you guys serious? This woman is probably the best singer in the world, and so many of you think she wants to copy Gaga??? I love me some Gaga…but please! Christina was experimenting with her sound and look and pushing sexual imagery and feminism to the next level when Gaga was still prepping for her high school homecoming dance. Besides when Xtina goes extreme it has a meaning, it actually goes with the music and is symbolic of the point she's trying to make (i.e the "Fighter" video). She doesn't just do outrageous things for shock value (which as much as I like Gaga-that schtick is gonna run it's course eventually)-she is truly artistic. I'm not trying to diss the other female artists by any means, but Christina, while she may not be the super "it girl" that everyone talks about on blogs and in magazines, has more raw talent and creativity than ANY of her peers and she deserves respect.

  54. DavHa says – reply to this

    54

I'm sorry but Gaga's music is very very conventional pop dance, there's absolutely NOTHING futuristic about it… she only adds a tacky eccentric look to herself, but the songs she wrote are flat out pop…

Christina's doing things with Santigold, MIA, Ladytron, I think she's more serious about trying futuristic elements

  55. 55

    I'm looking forward to this.
I love Christina and it's about time we hear some new music from her!
And for all them Gaga comparisons, PLEASEEE.
I love both of them and they're no where near similar.
Electronic music has been around way before Gaga even came around.
Christina is a legend whether you like it or not.

  56. Vbaby says – reply to this

    56

ok this lame copies everyone but i mean everyone! her stripped album was sheryl crow/alicia keys/ beyonce/ pink/mariah… she is anything BUT creative. She talks soo much shit about gaga but i bet anything that she will head down the GAGA way…im already bored with aguilera…sigh

  57. 57

xtina dont copy off lady gaga.
she didnt even know who lady gaga was until those rumors fueled.
dont believe EVERYTHING perez puts on this site.
    damn

  58. 58

    Re: Vbaby
    "her stripped album was sheryl crow/alicia keys/ beyonce/ pink/mariah"
It's not like any of those artists listed are truly original themselves. Call it copying, or call it paying tribute, being influenced by, or whatever…everyone is doing something that has been done before..that's what keeps pop culture moving.
