24 Is Dead!
24 has been officially canceled!
We're sure of it this time!
Although a 24 movie is still in the works, exec producer Howard Gordon says their creative team simply ran out of new obstacles for Jack Bauer to conquer!
So don't hold your breath for the show to move to NBC!
"If one of the writers came up with a good idea, I’d happily pitch it to Kiefer and then happily pitch to a network, whether Fox or someone else," Gordon explained. "We just don’t have that idea, and that’s where everything has to start."
Gordon says he'd like 24 to be remembered as a "revolutionary concept" and that the cast and crew "loved the show so much" and "never did anything less than [their] best."
Will U miss Jack, Chloe and the rest of the 24 cast once season eight is over and done?

I've never watched a single episode of 24, so no, I won't miss it.
I dont watch the show and the only thing i'm currently pissed, extremely pissed about actually is the fact that actual shows with actors and plot lines are being canceled and taken over by fucking reality shows. I was born in the wrong decade.

My drama teacher is one of the characters friend and his friends wife is amanda on ugly betty wich has been cancled its such a shame that both coupels are job-less now

i will miss this show but i dont want it to continue without a good story to tell. i have loved 24 forever. the bestt show on tv all that is left is reality trash. i will miss kiefer for sure but i am so looking forward to the movie.

Ugh!!! I love this show!! Although I agree that there really isn't anywhere else for them to take the show, I sure am going to miss watching Kiefer Sutherland every Monday night!! I guess I'm just going to have to watch all his old movies to get my Kiefer fix!!

Unfortantly, that show jumped the shark for me 2 or 3 seasons ago. Last good year for me was with the crazy, evil prez and the gal from Designing Women.
considering it fantasized torture and inspired gitmo guards to perform torture, which made it impossible to prosecute several terrorists under any kind of legitimate legal system, and considering its biggest fans were people like rush limbaugh, who swallowed the 'torture is good' thing whole and regurgitated it on the air…..

one of the best shows on television. missed the first few seasons when they were originally broadcast and became hooked on the dvds. would stay up all night watching them–it was like crack. i'm really really bummed. there is so little left on tv worth watching. when 'damages' goes and this is gone, i'm just going to dump my television.

The writers and producers of this show must be stupid because if they were to have this on HBO or Showtime they could do things on those channels that wouldnt be limited in regards to content and language.
The poor excuse the writers are giving as to why they can't continue the show is lame.As long as there's LIFE in all our lives theirs AWAYS a story. Infact,every day we see the news there is always some horrific story or something that keeps our attention.
It sounds to me like the writers of "24" have huge ego's and probably those egos have been complimented by job offers. Its asad shame since all those crew members and their families depend on "24" for their livelyhood and to pay the bills in this bad economy. When Kiefer was in jail I remember him saying how he wanted to get back to work because all the people who work on the show have families and he cant think of himself. My how times have changed in the present time. Just to let all of you know,I am a loyal viewer of this show and not related to anyone on the show.The way the writers and producers and creators of this show are treating the fans is discusting. AGAIN..HBO or Showtime could give this show wings and they could do things on there that they couldnt do on the non pay channels.

This show used to be really good. I think the writers suck and ran out of ideas a long time ago. Every year there is a mole in CTU, immediate threat to the U.S. or the world or President of the US or some country. I hope the writers don't work on any other shows I like.
