Now TV is getting into the act of remakes!
Please, please, PLEASE - someone with a halfway original idea step forward in Hollywood. Thank you.
While we wait for a miracle, we'll tell you about Jamie Foxx's new venture- a new In Living Color-esque sketch comedy show for FOX. FOX has already picked up a pilot for the project, which remains untitled and uncasted with anyone worth mentioning. However, joining Jamie on the producing side will be MadTV creators Fax Bahr and Adam Small, so the show will probably have a decent chance to taking off.
But it just sounds like a waste to us!

I hate to agree Perez but it sounds like a waste of time I loved In Living Color but Jamie fox sucked on that show his played out Wanda character was one of the stupidest sketches. Never found him funny…
i like sketch shows, their usually pretty funny. now refresh my memory people, Jamie Foxx was on the original show wasn't he? he played that ugly man/woman? i cant see her face (when i try to remember) but all i see is the jacked up mouth LOL. or am i confussing him with martin?

I LOVED In Living Color and would welcome it again. Wish they could get Jim Carrey back on - he had so many great characters.
You start with Living Color, and then move on to better things, you don't RETURN to Living Color. Then again, this man is butt-ugly and completely overrated.

I think they can catch lightening in a bottle with another 'In Living Color' type show, if the writing's good. The genius behind that show were the Wayans Brothers, particularly Keenan. Where'd he disappear to, BTW?
Anyway, the 'Wanda-rilla' character Foxx created was hilarious, especially if Tommy Davis was also in the scene. Comic gold.

I don't think it's a waste at all. Atleast it's a try. Being an actor myself and a black one at that, I love sketch comedy and i love to do it; however, you don't see us on SNL. In Living Color was popular amongst black audiences so while you think it may be a waste, alot of people who loved the show are hoping it's just as good as the original. If not, then still, much respect for Jamie Foxx bringing it back. He's doing what alot of actors with a certain amount of success in Hollywood should be doing: creating their own projects.
Sounds like a good idea if it's done well. The original was great. SNL sucks now. I'm so distracted while watching it. You can see the actors continually looking off screen to read their lines, crap. I hope the new incarnation of ILC gives em a run for their money.
