Smallville Creators Want Their Money!
Ah! Now we get how this show has managed to stay on the air for 10 years:
The studio is stiffing the creators!
Miles Miller and Alfred Gough, helmed the longtime WB/CW show Smallville back in 2001 and on Friday, they filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. claiming they have been under-paid and cheated out of millions of dollars.
Though the show has never been a ratings hit or money-maker, the audience following is strong and the suit claims that Warner Bros. doesn't sell the show for fair-market price to its own networks. They are calling it "unfair self-dealing."
Our question is … What the hell took you so long? It's been ten years and this only occurred to you now?
Hmm. Looks like some people are just trying to suck out the last bit of $$$ before their show flies off into syndication.

WTF do you mean this show hasn't been a ratings money maker? (I'm ignoring the bad grammar.) Smallville, during its first few seasons averaged 10 million viewers, dude. I don't even watch the show and I know that. Where have you been!?
a show that is in its tenth year of production does not make money. Really? Maybe you know something that no other person knows. I am not really sure that networks keep a show on for 10 years that loses money. Last time i checked the wb was not pbs. So lets give your head a shake perez

Also, I don't know what you're talking about Perez. Saying the show has never been a "money-maker" ??? Smallville was one of the top 10 best selling television shows on DVD last year and and the only show from the CW to make the list. it makes a lot of money for The CW/WB. Smallville wouldn't be entering it's 10th season if it didn't.
Smallville is worth every penny. And as far as ratings, Smallville does way better than the other CW shows, and its even on a Friday!

This show just isn't what it used to be but hey if there still own after 10 years they should get what there asking for.

They left the show and new producers took over like three seasons ago. STOOPID!
First off, Smallville has produced record ratings for the CW. Second, your last statement would only be true if Al and Miles still worked on the show, which they haven't for years. Don't you ever do your homework?
Smallville has already been in syndication. It's aired on ABC Family for a couple years now. Why bother to put an article out there if you have no idea what you're talking about? Also, Smallville has been in the top three on its network for years. So to the CW it IS a money earner. With all the money you make I'd think you could afford a fact checker by now.
I'LL TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.
They just found out a month or so ago that WARNER BROS. just pulled up a dump truck full of money and unloaded it in CHRISTOPHER NOLAN's driveway along with a request to helm the next SUPERMAN movie. He will produce and his brother JONATHAN NOLAN will write with DAVID GOYER. Genius and guaranteed success.
Only problem is…SMALLVILLE's creators planned on a blockbuster movie as soon as the series ends…which will be after next season.
Guess that sucks for them. And there is nothing they can do about it.
Ergo… they sue WARNER BROTHERs for whatever money a lawyer can creatively argue out of them.
