Andrew Lloyd Webber Wants To Rework Phantom Sequel

That doesn't sound good!

Andrew Lloyd Webber and company want to delay the Love Never Dies Broadway premiere to do a little reworking including a new opening and a grander entrance for the Phantom.

Also the ending is apparently a disaster, so now they want to postpone the show until the spring!

As for the opening last month the reviews were mixed and it was so stressful that Lloyd Webber threatened to shut down the entire production since he's more eager to get on with his next show, Catch Me If You Can.

An insider said, "They did it for the money, and, boy, are they going to have to earn it now."

Yikes! Better get cracking or it could be a HUGE flop!

Andrew Lloyd Webber isn't involved in Catch Me If You Can…however, director Jack O'Brien and choreographer Jerry Mitchell both are!

I hope Catch Me If You Can makes it to Broadway, or at least a cast CD, but only if they bring back Kerry Butler. I hate the Phantom Sequel, they clearly did not continue the meaning behind the first show. The Phantom is a villain, the only way he gains redemption is by letting Christine go with Raul. She never loved him, she was under his manipulation. Making their love story totally changed the first one. It needs more than massive rewrites, it needs a totally new story. So I don't think they can fix it.

"Yikes! Better get cracking or it could be a HUGE flop!" - Ummm I think you meant to say too bad because it's already a HUGE FLOP!

After purchasing the soundtrack and listening, it needs a total rewrite. It's horrible. The music is horrible, the storyline is awful and totally far fetched. Good luck!

Andrew Lloyd Webber isn't involved with Catch Me If You Can at ALL

He isn't a producer, he isn't a writer, he isn't a composer, he isn't an actor, he isn't a director, he hasn't even been an audience member. I don't know where you got this 'fact' from, but it's totally false
