So tragic!
Caresse Henry, Madonna's former manager from 1997-2005, has died of a suspected suicide, PerezHilton.com has confirmed.
Involved in both Ray of Light and Music, Henry was a creative force in Madonna's professional life working as her manager - and she was also once Madonna's personal assistant.
Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones.
On a personal note, we never had the opportunity to meet Caresse but we did speak with her on the phone last year about a business opportunity and she shared with us that she had been reading our site since we started blogging back in 2004. AND, Henry also reminded us of how hard times were for us back then, when - broke and with little income - we asked our kind readers for donations. She told us that she had given us money back then and we were humbled and touched by her instantly. That is the kind and generous person that she was, her friends tell us. They are all shocked and crushed.
So very sad.

After the epic disaster that was "Glitter," everyone expected Mariah Carey's film career to follow the Tony Bennett trajectory. Bloody but unbowed, however, she pressed on with her acting career, to much better results. Not many people saw the indie "WiseGirls," in which Carey turned out a spunky and funny performance as a seen-it-all waitress in a mob-run restaurant.
But it was her attention-getting turn in last year's "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire," that established Carey as an actress to watch. Yes, much to-do was made over the fact that she had drab hair and wardrobe in the part, and eschewed makeup to the point where she was practically mustachioed, but that was just the surface.
What Carey brought to the role was a ferocity, a deadpan wit and an intensity that was the complete antithesis of her inert walk-through of "Glitter." She's been cast in Tyler Perry's upcoming all-star adaptation of Ntozake Shange's "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf," and it's going to be interesting to see where her film career takes her. It will be equally interesting to see if Cyrus will ever feel prepared to tackle a film as gritty and unglamorous as "Precious."

I just saw the new Clash of the Titans movie ! Madonna, for once, was excellant in it. The role of Madusa was her breakout role, she was so convincing and looked every bit the part of Madusa. Well done Madonna !! This role is a role of a life time for Madonna, the role that will make everyone fianally realize what a wonderful actress she truly is.. You could tell she did her homework and new the part of Madusa inside and out, she really outdid herself. Well done Madonna, I will now forever think of you as Madusa!
