Duggar Baby #19 Finally Leaves The Hospital
Wonderful!
After weeks upon weeks of struggle, the Duggar family can finally bring their little Josie Brooklyn home.
When Michelle gave birth to the micropremie via C-sectin back in December, the little tyke faced a mountain of obstacles to overcome. But here we are, almost 4 months to the day and the beautiful baby girl can now join her 18 brothers and sisters in the Duggar family home. Her parents released a statement about the happy occasion, saying:
"We're grateful for the prayers of thousands…We are so excited, we are running on adrenaline. I have been getting into the routine of every three hours feeding, diapering and taking her temperature. We are so encouraged that she is doing so well."
Sounds like she's a toughie! She is going to give the rest of the kids in the house a run for their money!
Congrats to you all! Here's hoping she stays happy and healthy for years and years to come!

People complain about the uninsured driving up the cost of healthcare premiums but when a baby is born premature and stays in the hospital for months like this it costs $100,000 plus…don't think the cost of this baby wasn't passed onto everyone else who has the same health insurance as the Duggers. If they continue to be selfish and procreate again even knowing the health risks then everyone else will continue to suffer higher premiums because of these people.

I don't mind them. Whatever, they seem happy with their lives. BUT I do find it sickening that they are so strict on what's allowed. Like they have a family rule not to dance… DANCE?! It is a fact that getting old increases the risk. If you have had problems all your life trying to produce then I guess the risk at older ages is worth it. The Duggars are a remarkable example of what a family could be like if everyone pitches in to make their lives increasingly better. They work together to make a life for themselves as well as helping those around them in their community. They utilize the money the family earns very spend thriftily. They bake their own bread and make their own cleaning supplies. They work hard to have a nice comfortable lifestyle. Everyone has their own path and no singular path is the best path. We are all on this earth finding OUR one true purpose. To take time out your day to spew such negativity towards this one family is sad reflection of how intolerant society is of difference. Parents should be parents. There is no way that the mother and father are parenting all 19 of those kids. Older brothers and sisters should not be the ones raising children. Either put on a condom or stop having sex; the point of being a parent is to raise a child and there's no way you can raise 19 in a psychologically healthy way.
I fully support the Duggar Family! And congratulate them on the joy of bringing a new blessing home. Praise God for families that put God first in the lives and for following God plan for their lives. We should all be so lucky to have happiness, love and joy as the Duggars do.

BUUUUUUUUT I was recently watching an episode of that "19 Kids and Counting" show, and they were showing that tiny (TINY TINY) baby in the hospital. And it just made me think, wow, 19 freaking kids? You're going to take that kind of a risk, with a woman her age, after having so many? They're very very fortunate that the baby is well right now. I mean, it just makes me angry that people these days are having so many children. Even having a huge amount like 7 or 8…that's just WASTEFUL. No wonder our environment is going to hell. The world population is multiplying like crazy because people are still practicing the "9 to save 1" family planning method, when modern medicine saves most of the babies that are born. Okay, rant done, but it's been on my mind lately.

aight so i've taken several sociology and pyschology classes and considering majoring in them. Let me tell you people human contact is VERY IMPORTANT; especially for babies and infants. Sure the parents have the girls to help out changing, and feeding them etc., but kids NEED PARENTS. They need that from day one. It forms their personality, development, comfort everything. While the older kids are taking care of the younger ones, inside the younger ones are screaming for their parent's comfort. With 19 kids it's not possible to pay attention to everyone's needs. kids need play; it helps them develope personality. Interaction forms the basis of us. Without interaction the brain doesn't grow as much or is slow to grow. Ever heard of child neglact? the same thing they're brains haven't grown b/c of lack of interaction. Now after saying all this, she is hindering those kids lives by not bonding with them enough.

I know a family kind of like this. (Except they're not on a reality show). When people have this many kids it is near impossible to give each and every one of them the love and care they deserve. I am from the same town as the Duggars and for those of you who don't know them can't judge. This is a wonderful family who love God and love life. They aren't a burden on society and contribute to our area. Yes they have quite a few kids but since when is that anyone else's choice but theirs? Its not sick or disturbing. OK, I created a profile just to comment on this. I cannot believe the massive amount of misconceptions about Pre-eclampsia! Pre-eclampsia happens in about 10% of pregnancies and more apt to happen in first time pregnancies. In fact, with the second child, you're less likely to develop it. This didn't happen to the Duggars because she is too old, genetics have suddenly turned bad, eggs are old, or basically anything that I have seen posted. The bottom line is they don't know the cause. It happened to me and I don't have 19 kids (just 1), and I'm in my 20's and my genetics are fine. Take issue with the amount of kids they have, how they raise them, whatever, but this didn't happen because they she has a 41 year old, frequently occupied, uterus.

I wonder what kind of physical health/mental problems this latest child will have being born at 24 weeks and so tiny? It ain't easy being a preemie. My cousin died after her fourth child was born since she was a conservative Christian (graduated from Bob Jones University) and to her she had no choice even though the doctor warned her after problems with her third child…no birth control, no tubes tied, no abortions. Now those four kids have no mom. Of course the dad replaced her with another conservative Christian gal ASAP but they still lost their mom and she can never be replaced. I know things can happen on a first pregnancy but there's odds and then there's odds.
