Glambert A Mentor On American Idol

| Filed under: American IdolAdam Lambert

We don't mean to belittle the Glambert, but if you are going to start digging into the pool of Idols for mentors, shouldn't you start with some that have had REAL success. Carrie Underwood? Kelly Clarkson? Hell, Clay Aiken???

Whatever, your show!

Producers from American Idol confirm that last season's runner-up, Adam Lambert, will be mentoring this season's contestants the April 13 episode. No word on theme yet, but we're sure it will have something to do with rock-and-roll.

Hopefully, that will liven up the humdrum season a bit!

Whats he advising them on? How to give a blow job to a guy on stage?? How to apply guyliner??? The dude doesnt even have a hit record and he thinks he's the shit.

  2. 2

    Ugh. His appeal escapes me.

  3. Coqi says – reply to this

He has every right to mentor them! He is by far the most dynamic Idol contestant ever whether you love or hate him. He has been the master at "make the song your own" and "show the audience who you are." He has been wildly accepted by the music community (globally!) as a budding young star and he didn't even win! His first album boasts collaborations with extremely talented, popular and esteemed producers and artists.
He is a perfect mentor. Much more so than someone who is out of touch with this generation such as last years' Randy Travis.

  4. 4

If they picked Miley Cyrus as a mentor then Glambert is some kind of improvement..

  5. 5

HE doesn't have the talent to be an A lister. It's a combo of being GAY and the cosmetic package he sells that allows him to stretch those 15 minutes of fame.
He will be a forgotten memory in four weeks.

  6. 6

Now THAT'S scraping the bottom of the barrel.

  7. 7

    Wassamatta, Mario?

Suddenly you show no love for Lamebert? Did he reject your simpering advances at some party or something?

How fast people can turn on one they claimed to love. Tsk tsk.

  8. 8

It sounds like they are desperate for him to get some exposure since his album tanked. He has no qualifications to mentor anybody. Miley was a better choice at least she actually has millions of fans.

  9. 9

Re: Bushwack – Oh yeah, that's right…being gay is a sure fire way right onto the A list. Dumbass.

  10. 10

Actually they could learn a lot from Madame - like what photo NOT to use on your album cover, how NOT to simulate oral sex on an awards show, how NOT to piss off your core fanbase then act so blase, arrogant and ignorant when being interviewed and most importantly, how NOT to act like a superstar when you're only a runner up.

  11. obama says – reply to this

It's official. Idol jumped the shark.

  12. 12

Adam Lambert is amazing! I can't wait until April 13!

  13. 13

Re: SeedyPetee – Who the fuck are you talking about? Not one thing you said has anything to do with Adam, except for the simulated oral sex, which was HOT and he should do it again many, many times. How about you learn how NOT to make shit up?

  14. 14

What is this I hear? You have something less than positive to say about Adam Lambert?? You, who just "knew" he was going to be the next great thing? You, who lashed out at all of us who said he would never make it and that he was just the flavor of the month?? Guess what? Told ya so!

  15. 15

The season 8 contestants said Adam mentored all of them and helped them tremendously with their performances skills and confidence. Why can't he mentor season 9 too?

  16. 16

Re: Coqi – You are delusional. He has NOT been widely accepted by the music community - he is almost a pariah (I'll give you a second to look that word up). And the only talent on his first album are the people he collaborated with. A mentor is someone who is supposed to show you the way. Adam Lambert leads the way to show people how to jump off a cliff and ruin their careers.

  17. 17

Re: JillReallyCares – Hey dumbass - general consensus before Adam's album was released was that the cover photo was just too damn drag-queeny. Adam DID piss off the core fans that voted for him on 'Idol' by blowing his gayness in their faces and up their asses on the AMA awards. Adam DID act completely arrogant and ignorant when his performance was slammed and criticized. Adam did NOT win 'Idol', he was the runner up yet he ACTS like he's bigger than Bowie and MJ combined, and so do his retarded and deluded. Making shit up? Not on your life, shit for brains!!! Go discover some REAL music and get off this 'Idol' karaoke shit!

  18. 18

LOL whatevs it's not like the mentors give amazing priceless pearls of wisdom to the contestants, most of the time even the big names are like, "that was nice, I liked that." or "you need to watch your pitch." They're there like anyone else to pimp their albums. Maybe it might liven up this serious yawn of a season, which has started to fall off my tivo because I barely remember it's on. Go Glambert!

  19. 19

Finally someone to liven this season up.
    It needed something worth watching.
They do have Crystal this year.
    I'll set my dvr. I can't wait.

  20. 20

What a fucking stupid move, Idol. This loser doesn't deserve it. Couldn't you get Carrie, Kelly or Clay?

  21. 21

"No word on theme yet, but we're sure it will have something to do with rock-and-roll."
Why should it have something to do with rock and roll? Adam Lambert is about as rock and roll as Justin Bieber. Perhaps the theme will be "Fake Las Vegas-Style Schlock Rock".

  22. 22

I'm happy to hear he's going to be on there. He's done REALLY well for himself in a little amount of time and i am sure he's not going anywhere any time soon. "Clay Aiken"???? That was meant as a joke right? Geezzzzzzz, i sure hope so…..I think Adam Lambert being on there will bring the ratings wayyyyy up too…..

  23. 23

I can't wait! Adam is the most talented Idol alum, and he'll be a great mentor!

  24. 24

They are having him as a mentor for one reason: he is entertaining and the best BEST I say contestant ever on A.I. I don't care if he won or not…he was the best ever on that show.
This year there is no Adam Lambert and the show sucks. No one is half the star Adam is and it shows. Maybe he can glam up some of those dull people.
I for one will be watching only because he is on there!

  25. 25

I can't stop laughing at the number of people incensed that Adam is destroying the integrity of the coveted Idol mentorship honor, ahahahaha. OMG it's IDOL folks, that ship sailed long long long ago. And Adam managed to get his nail polished, eye linered and freak flag flying self to the finale, despite copious evidence all over youtube and FOX news that he was not your typical contestant. I have no idea what he'll tell this crop of Idols, but it's gotta be more entertaining than Miley damn Cyrus chomping on her gum.

  26. 6one9 says – reply to this

I love Adam!!!!!!! Let him do ““ his thang & Perez “` you keep doing yours!! :)

  27. 27

hey, remember when KRIS ALLEN won american idol and didnt get ANY recognition for his accomplishment…???

  28. 28

WTF? Why Glambert? (The AMA's so showed his talent. NOT!!) What about Idols that have proved themselves? Idol has SO jumped the shark!!! I guess 19 is trying to make some desperate money. They better hurry cause this maybe one of the last years for them. LOL

  29. 29

Well, I for one am completely psyched by the fact that Adam's going to be mentoring the Top 8 Contestants. In my opinion, I think he'll be one kick-ass mentor, so fuck all the people who don't!

Why yes, I am a crazed Glambert fan. AND PROUD.

  30. 30

fuck you perez , adam has just as much talent as any other person they could come up with being a mentor .

oh and kissmyassobama , your an illiterate pig , keep your hateresc comments to yourself .

  31. 31

TG. Brilliant move. While several of the AI9 folks are pretty decent singers, they could certainly use some sparkle and swagger. There is NO ONE on the planet - even you Perez - who could better mentor them on getting their Glambert on. Can't wait. Guaranteed to have the top AI ratings they've had all season.

  32. 32

Mentoring them on how to place 2nd?? He didn't even win. American Idol continues to push Adam even in the new season! Go figure. Yea the kid has some talent, but a mentor? I don't think so. Bring back some of the former idols who have really made their mark in the music industry to mentor (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie, Daughtry to name a few).

  33. 33

Perez, why are you hating on Adam so much now? You used to love him. Guess he wasn't into you..
The reason they picked Adam vs Kelly, Clay, etc is because Adam is EXCITING and the rest are boring. And Adam is the most current. His CD has gone gold and could go platinum. Not only is he the most current, he's the most talented and the most original. And he will draw a TON of viewers back to a very dull season of AI.

  34. 34

Ok I am a massive Adam Lambert fan, the album is amazing, but he is not rock and roll lol. He doesnt want to be "rock and roll". He's not trying to be "rock and roll" Whoever wrote this obviously has no clue what type of artist Adam is. Oh and I am sure the main reason Adam is on the show is to promote his album, which is doing great! But there is nothing wrong with that…it is exactly what Usher did last week. Adam is the only reason I will be watching the show next week.

  35. 35

Hey eff you Perez. Adam is amazing and if I remember correctly you were kissing his ass a few months ago. Hmmm. I can't wait until the 13th!

  36. 36

To those who think Myley has talent simply because she has higher record sales obviously do not know the music idustry. It's called know nothing little children who love anything on tv and get mommy and daddy to buy crap.. Adam is a truly talented and gifted performer. We have many of them out there who are great, but do not match the success of a Myley Cyrus. He is a perfect mentor. I think he will do extremely well and am looking forward to him performing the day after..

  37. 37

    This guy is a douche.

  38. 38

Adam will make THE PERFECT mentor. the dude had the whole package from the get-go. Idol has never had a contestant like him! he's knows how to be versatile even though he has a strong theater background. he's morphed his voice and performances like a pro. LOVE you Adam!!! this guy has the chops for longevity in the business and i wish him success! well deserved.

  39. 39

It's all about ratings. They know he is controversial. Like others have mentioned, if they can have Miley as a "mentor" apparently anything goes!

  40. 40

adam is gonna be the best thing that is going to happen on this boring season!

  41. 41

Re: BlowinSunshine – The CD is Gold in the U.S. and Platinum here in Canada, that's "tanking"??? WTF? And Adam is qualified to be a mentor. Before Idol, he worked, successfully, in musical theater for a decade. If people like Q. Tarantino, who's not even in the music industry, can mentor on the show….so can Adam. Clearly, the show knows that he has lots of fans or they wouldn't be having him (they want high ratings).

  42. 42

Re: Kate23 – What makes you think the Idols you mentioned haven't been asked back to mentor? Maybe they said no (I'm sure Kelly is too snobby to do it) Or maybe it conflicted with their schedules. And Adam coming in 2nd means nothing. You mentioned Daughtry; wasn't he 5th or something? Winning isn't everything. Look at Kris Allen. He's barely sold half of what Adam has….

  43. 43

If he has the "total package", then why has he not had the success that other winners and runners up have had? Clay has had much more success than Adam as has Miley. Adam is just a joke to go on there and try and tell them what to do - as much pimping and interest that Adam had on Idol - he TOTALLY blew it and screwed it away.

  44. 44

They didn't even have a mentor this week, wtf and how the hell are Miley Cyrus AND Adam Lambert mentors?!?!
Miley is 17! She has had a few hits but she is not a mentor! And Adam? Are you kidding me? He has had one OKAY song and the rest has been shit. If you are honestly going to bring a past Idol back on to be a mentor at least bring back SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD SUCCESS! I use to love Adam but ever since Idol was over his true colors started showing. He is a cocky, self-centered, arrogant, selfish ass. I hate him. But Perez, he is better than Clay Aiken.. Clay never even had a hit!

And Perez, it is obvious you haven't watched this season of Idol, each week Siobhan Magnus and Crystal Bowersox bring it. They are truly unique in style, music, and personality. Adam is not.

  45. 45

Re: megandrew – His first CD has only been out 4 1/2 months. Gold in the US, platinum in Canada. It is only NOW being released internationally. It's too soon to say how his success will measure up to some of the others. Yes, Clay's debut disk did really well. But he was dumped from his label when his latest disk bombed (I believe it sold only 159,00 copies, total, worldwide). People are taking this mentoring gig so seriously. Relax. It's just a fucking tv show…..

  46. 46

you're just mad that they don't want you P

  47. 47

  48. 48

uhm yeah cos aiken and underwood are like SO known abroad. im sorry to disappoint you but except for kelly clarkson and YES, Adam Lambert, no other american idol contestant is famous abroad.

  49. 49

This is American Idol. We don't give a shit about abroad. I really hate these Adam fans who think he invented singing. There were so many before him with millions more in success and Clay Aiken had lots of hit songs and broke chart records. That is something Adam will never do so stfu.

  50. 50

YES!!!! The greatest American Idol of all time will mentor!!! FINALLY something worth watching this season of AI !!!

  51. 51

Thank God. finally something interesting happens to the worst season of Idol.
Adam Lambert is the perfect choice. he'll definitely get the ratings up, and hopefully be able to drag some personality out of the horrifically boring contestants. He's known for picking amazing song choices and his effortless engaging stage presence. that's the experience & advice idol contestants need.
Carrie and Kelly are great singers but Adam really evolved the show into the expectation of exciting performances.
Also, Adams album is doing really really well in asia, europe and canada. the u.s.a, is just slow, as usual :p

  52. 52

Are you even reading what perez said ? he doesn't necessarily *hate* Adam Lambert, he just stated that he may not be the best choice on "mentoring". i don't see any constant hate, if you do, you must be delusional.

Secondly, i understand why people may not think he's best to mentor, cause he's so new himself, but to question his talent ? b*tch please. he has one of the BEST voices among the late singers. show me another one who uses his voice so well, from the up and coming stars.

Also, i do think that he'll be a good mentor, because he has been through the experience of being on AI and he knows how to use his voice. And even if his album success is related to people he has worked with, WHO'S ISN'T ? And it still means he has the experience.

Plus, right choice or not, he will liven the so everly boring season up, undoubtedly. Miley Cyrus ? Seriously people, Miley Cyrus ???

  53. 53

Adam Lambert is amazing. Awesome vocal range, awesome stage presence, TALENTED. He should have won, then im sure you would v said he was a good choice for a mentor.

  54. 54

KEWL! I hope he'll sing If I had you:)

  55. 55

he is going to be best fucking mentor
    looooooooove him

  56. 56

finally something interesting on this season!!

  57. 57

Re: chicaitaliana – so what? the shows main viewership consists of americans. kelly and carrie have sold way more albums and have had longer and more successful careers.

  58. 58

Brilliant move on Idol's part to bring Adam back. FINALLY, a reason to watch that craptastic show this season!

  59. 59

    What a fucking sight! PMFPL!

  60. 60

forget about being gay and concentrate on being a singer.how about dressing like elvis and doing one of his songs perfectly the publicity would be amazing and people who never saw you would take notice. just a thought .because it looks like even perez is giving up on you

  61. 61

  62. 62

pathetic, just like miley being a 'mentor'. Idol has to get a dictionary and look up the word 'mentor'. You need years of experience to be a mentor. You do not have to be a top or hot singer to be a mentor, but then, they would not get the ratings. Does Idol give these singers any direction?????? they criticize enough.

  63. 63

Didn't this guy lose. I don't even know who really won cause this guy is always on the blogs. What is wrong with this picture lol.

  64. 64

Anyone who's ever watched the Idol "mentor" segments should be able to see that the "mentors" really don't DO that much. They appear with each contestant, offer some trite cliches to each, and have mutual-admiration love fests (albeit brief ones … they're on a schedule!). There isn't a lot of constructive advice given in those segments, so it doesn't really matter WHO a given week's mentor is. I think the "mentors" are there to give the contestants time with someone who's made it, which will serve as some kind of inspiration and motivation. Some mentors have been in the business longer than others; some are more credible. But all have, in one form or another, what the contestants want. Fame.

  65. 65

He didn't win - and is outshining the winner what's his face. American Idol is painful to watch this year- they all suck - every last one of them - and it's ridiculous to listen to th the judges fawn all over a few of them - who really have zero appeal… at least Adam Lambert had talent!

  66. 66

Re: justtfax – Adam DOES have years of experience. Do some research. It's just that he's only been FAMOUS for a relatively short period of time…..

  67. 67

Gay gay gay why does he have to be G~Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  68. 68

thanks ill skip next week what will he teach em how to kiss members of same sex in public and grab crotches

    he makes me sick

  69. 69

he should quit showbiz and get into hair and makeup!

  70. 70

Perez, you should know that Clay Aiken hid his homosexuality for years after his run on Idol and come out as gay in 2008. He was marketed and aimed towards older conservative women for his wholesome, harmless, good Christian boy appeal. He lost A LOT of those female fans after coming out and his latest album only sold about 150000 copies. Look at other openly gay pop singers such as Lance Bass and Ricky Martin, they come out as gay when they no longer feel the need to sell enough records. This is why I applaud Adam Lambert for being brave because although lots of people may not like it, I'm glad he's being himself and not hiding his flamboyance or homosexuality like so many celebrities do. I'm actually glad he's showing you can be an openly gay young man and be successful in the mainstream scene. And you may consider him not successful, but so far when his single is being played on top 40 radio and his CDs are selling well in different countries, I say he's doing well so far. If he wanted to sell more CDs, he would have pretended to be someone else. I'm glad to see that he's giving the finger to all those who wish he would conform. You shouldn't be able to LIE to make millions… manipulating emotions equal in that number… only to finally admit it was all a LIE to pull you in.

  71. 71

  72. 72

UNACCEPTABLE! First, Miley now Adam Lambert?? Is Idol trying to lose ratings??? I am everyday becoming a bigger fan to DWTS!!! Get it together Idol!

  73. 73

Re: TorontoBitch – If he has lots of fans, why aren't they buying his album? His sales are PATHETIC in proportion to the amount of promotion they have thrown at him. In comparison, David Cook and David Archuleta have both outsold him BY FAR with none of the manufactured hype that surrounds this clown.

  74. 74

He makes a LOT more sense than Miley and Quentin seeing as 1. He has a DECADE'S worth of experience. And 2. was the Group Counsellor last year.

When the Idol House were asked who they all went to for ADVICE; who held the group together; and who they leaned on - they all said, "Adam". About music, life, everything.

Kris Allen said: "Adam is just so easy to talk to, and gives amazing advice. He has so many words of wisdom, real genuine ones. He's just an all round great guy. He always makes you feel comfortable, and confident. The best you can be."

  75. 75

Just as long as he doesn't think about the cameras and the fact that people are expecting him to mentor a certain way, a certain level. If he's his relaxed, funny, personable intelligent self, it will be fun footage. FIRST TIME I'LL BE TUNING IN THIS SEASON BTW LOL

  76. KCL says – reply to this

He gives amazing advice and not just about music:

When ex bigot Michael Sarver was asked who he looked up to he said, "Actually, the coolest person I've met is Adam Lambert, as far as teaching me the most. And it has nothing to do with music, eveything to do with character. And not seeing the difference before you see the person, seeing the person first. I have to say if I have grown the most from any certain individual it would have to be Adam Lambert. His heart and soul is amazing. And he always has something positive to say, no matter what we're faced with, no matter what life throws at him. I can say I'm a changed man because of that guy, I am thankful for him."

  77. 77

Fuller LOVES him. He went to Adam's Bday Party.

"To find a talent as exceptional as Adam Lambert is a rare and special event," said Simon Fuller, "Idol" creator/executive producer and the CEO of 19 Entertainment. "I am thrilled that 'American Idol' was the platform for the world to discover this brilliant young man. He is unique and unforgettable and a certain star of tomorrow."

  78. 78

And Fuller's not the only one who loves him. Lambo has friends and fans in Queen, Slash, Steven Spielberg, Zeppelin, Steven Tyler + daugther, Tim Burton, Paul McCartney, Rob Marshall, Madonna, Cuomo, LPerry, Gaga, Muse…..this list goes on and onnnnnnnnnn. It's not just because he can hit every note on the guitar, he is hilarious and such a nice guy. Warmth-charisma-positivity-a hysterical sense of humor-mad talent combo never fails. Why do you think everyone who meets him falls in love or befriends him, he is mad popular everywhere Continent he goes to.

  79. 79

Carrie Underwood? BORING AS HELLL. Kelly Clarkson, her relationship with idol is rocky remember? She doesn't even have a new single to perform. Aiken? LMAAAAAAAAAAO. Good Luck Adam. Will actually be tuning into this dire show for once.

  80. 80

sure he's untalented and not at all as successful as other idols…but the ones with talent like daughtry and underwood are too busy to do small shit like that…

  81. 81

Gaiken was successful? LOL wow I didn't even know he had fans. I don't know one person who listens to Carrie, every girl I know thinks she a bit.ch, guys just she's hot, that's it. She's big in the Country market. Even Taylor Swift who is less talented than her managed to cross into the mainstream market. Kelly? Doesn't she have beef with Simon Fuller? or one of the producers? I was so genuinely excited and shocked when I heard Adam would be mentoring I actually gasped out loud. LOVE. HIM.

This isnt about who sold the most records, who won or didnt win, or who has had the most succesful career after idol. NO. It is about which contestant has

played the idol game the best. Most critics of the show agree that "Lambert deftly used the “Idol” platform to both gain notice and create a fully formed

stage persona. He may not be a legend, but he knows the show…." He did this better than almost anyone, even past winners. Like him or not, Adam has made a

difference to the show. I am surprised and pleased that TPTB recognize it. The choice of him is intelligent, but controversial. I also believe that this

decision demonstrates Simon Fuller and Co.'s committment to making Adam a star; like many other mentors, he's got something to sell, and the publicity will

benefit him. It is a win/win for everyone involved.

  82. 82

Re: wishperezwasgood4gays – LMAO! You're kidding me right? Tell me you're just trolling? I can not name ONE person who admits they listen to Daughtry, he's not only a douche with his own name tattooed on him back, he makes BUTT-ROCK music, music as bad as Nickleback that needs to disappear quick. I don't even know the last thing Daughtry did, where is he now? Have you SEEN Adam's schedule? Do you KNOW how In Demand he is? Every country he steps foot in, he creates mass hysteria, amongst interviwers AND fans. It's HILARIOUS that he has so many legends and well respected musicians and Industry VIPs as longtime (and newer) friends, and fans - yet the fans of other Idols like you, still try to big up your faded Idol by bashing him. You're f-n hilarious.

  83. 83

TRACKS OF MY TEARS - one of the best performances on Idol to this day. He was excellent every week. F—-g brilliant. I remember his Queen duet where May had heart-eyes for him lol. For the first time, someone was singing a Mercury song and NOT ripping him off, but paying absolute homage to him with pride, WHILST sounding authentic YET at the same eerily like him. Pure class his performances, from the dirtier, sexier, fun, flamboyant ones to the stripped back, acoustic, heart-rending ones.

  84. 84

Confirmed by the fierce bish himself:

    ( Twit.ter . com /AdamLambert )

It's true! In addition to performing on Idol April 14th, I will be mentoring the top 8 on the 13th. I feel honored to be asked.

Even though I'm just at the start of my recording career, I hope to lend some insight as one who's been thru the Idol adventure. excited!!

Don't worry America: I will be beyond family friendly. Relax and enjoy. For Your Entertainment.

  85. 85

Re: SeedyPetee – TROLL TROLL TROLL. You're so beyond fkn obsessed with him for a non-fan it's frightening. You're on his every post, every single time spewing some new cra.p from your mindless little head. Pi-ss off your fanbase what the hell are you on about? Srsly, WHAT are you talking about LOL? The only people who EVER have anything negative to say about Adam the person are 1. sick, ignorant hphobes and bigots - just look at the first comment 2. TROLLS like you + fans of other Idols so bitter and STILL not over the fact that their Idols have flopped and are forgotten and stuck in the Idol bubble forever, AND can't do anything for themself - Adam just says 10 words in a crowd and everyone including legends gravitate towards him, he is hilarious and has SO much executive realness and TALENT. AND 3. people who have suprise surprise NEVER met him. Why do you think E V E R Y one thus far who HAS has not just NOT had a single bad word to say about him, they've ended up GUSHING. Dudes, chicks, everyone who's ever met him always says the same thing.

  86. 86

RT: FSV**** First impressions upon meeting Lambert. Lots of executive realness and warmth. Really pleased with how the intv went, which doesn't happen often.

RT: CPAndrew Just interviewed Adam Lambert. V smart, balanced, great at carrying an interview. Nice to have a celebritiy that is able and fully focused for once. Solid guy.

RT: NeveL*** Got to interview Adam Lambert today for the magazine! His voice and eyes are pure S.E.X, I was melting lol. Intv will be up shortly.

RT: Jada**** Adam Lambert is too sweet for words, what a doll. And surprisingly hilarious.

RT: CutVo*** Adam Lambert has so much precense in person, the room mood totally sparked up when he walked in. None of us or the team could stop staring *facepalm*.

(cont.) He was absolutely beautiful, had on zero makeup, gorgeous inside out. Despite his precense he was so earthy and engaging…and….normal.

RT: lauratkinson So basically adam lambert is hot, super funny and lovely. You’re in for a treat, deanpiper

Re: SeedyPetee – I just read your second comment. What a shock should have know I was talking to a homophobe BARF!!!! You are a Modern Nazi, that is how disgusting you and your people are. Only America is still backwards, only America still has a problem with GAY - a fkn ORIENTATION you are BORN as you simpleton. Adam has done over 500 interviews since the AMAs and EVRY one have laughed their heads off at America and how backwards you are. Even Strict religious Muslim countries have absolutely embraced Adam, every country has except the US. America is so backwards it is shameful. Fkn hilariously shameful. You're proud as you are because your woodhead knows no better, even though the rest of the world is laughing at you.

Re: SeedyPetee – That was the point you MORON LOL!!!!!!!!! He always RISK TAKES THAT IS WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT HIM!!!! "I'm not the type of artist that does things to stay safe and please everyone. I thrive on taking risks, love it! The band all fly by the seat of their pants as well. Last night we did a little surprise Umptempo acoustic version of Mad World for the fans, and we were all just improvising, none of us had rehearsed any of the arrangement but it's more fun that way not knowing what's going to happen (that performance is one of my fave. things ever, genius. Both the Sydney and Stockholm vids). Ok what else, what else? For the most part, my style is not easy listening or easily digestable, it's def. not mass-pleasing, I definitely prefer it this way." His album cover was "airburshed within an inch of it's life" - Adam and his band get "dolled up like pretty ladies" in the spirt of GLAMROCK, it's hilarious how seriously you take him and yourselves when it's obvious you don't even know the first thing about him or what he's about. I'm still LOLing at how hard you try to convinve yourself he is something else when he has all these ACTUAL musicians and ICONS unlike a nobody like you, on his side wanting to work AND hang out with him. CRY MORE!!

    Re: SeedyPetee – LET'S SEE!
Backstage pass: "Overall opinion. He is a really sweet chap. Very professional, very much on the ball, also very funny. Smart, sharp, brassy & cheeky. Above all natural & genuine about everything he says & does. After meeting the guy, I have a hard time comprehending the notion that anyone could ever be offended by Lambert bc of the way he says and does everything, he owns it all completely, he is very genuine. He is chill & also eccentric, & it's an autonomous expression, not tailored to affect anyone else in any way but really & truly HIS, you are welcome to react/respond as you wish. His attitude, life outlook is rare. A magnificently different celebrity."

    Murray Sky News:
He's very brave, this young kid - talking openly & publicly about such controversial topics, while remaining faithful to his true self. I told him that will get him respect. He was really keen for a chat, despite the fact that he'd had an early start on radio & had been on TV the night before. I also heard he'd gone out on the town after the show, so I suspect he was in need of some shut-eye.

  91. 91

….But he was still full of energy & gave 100 per cent of his attention during the interview, really stopping & thinking about the questions before answering them, & being completely honest & generous with his responses. This is truly a rarity in celebrity interviews & much admired by a reporter. All you ask of an artist is for something. Adam gave a lot. More than many."

Kris Allen: "Adam Lambert is one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. Oh for sure. He is really well balanced, so layered & centered. He's that person everyone wants to be - and is, friends with y'know? He is so loyal. You can go to him for anything. You will never forget him once you meet him.

TJ his (straight) bassist: Omg………Adam….is amazing. Seriously, like one of the most amazing people I've ever met. He…is just…out of this world, offstage….onstage. He is amazing, that's the word for him. Just one of the coolest guys. He's amazing." (LOL someone has a crush)

  92. 92

Allison: "Oh My Lord I looooooove Adam. He is a badas.s sweetheart there really ain't no other way to put it. He's hilarious and always there for me, I look up to him so much. He's all about love and fun. And do I gotta mention his voice bruv??? Ehhhh lol???!! You know he the head bish, bow down! *z-snaaaaps*. just love him to death how can you not."

Megan: "Adaaaaaam :) Is beautiful inside out. Pure joy. And he always knows how to make you feel beautiful, always."

Kris Allen's mom: "Love that kid so much. His heart? Is even bigger than his voice."

Katy Allen: "I adore Adam, he is wonderful. Super funny and charming. Such a lovely person, as are his family. If Kris wasn't in the show, I would definitely have voted for Adam, haha! Oh, kris knows *laughs*. I have two of Adam's Studio performances as my ringtone!"

Lil: "When I'm having a hard day, I KNOW I can go to Adam and I'll feel better, or HE comes to you first, he just knows. Looks at you and knows how you're feeling. He is so aware, one of those people you want in your life. Y'know those people that you just know are always gonna be there for you? That's Adam."

  93. 93

Kris Allen's brother Daniel: "Kris was closest to Adam. Allison & Matt too. Adam the most, they were roomates & became close reaching the Final 2. -Intverviwer asks him about Adam- "If you don't know Adam Lambert personally, the mystery is that he's just a nice guy. Just a chill, really nice, spirited funny guy. Him & Kris are actually V similar (LOL they are beyond similar - I'm not a shipper but I do know about the fact that Kris & Adam's Compatibility charts showed them as 100% compatible - hardly ever happens (which I guess is why they had such amazing chemistry. Scary to think they'd be ideal for the other one if they'd met in another time…..anyways) "…both laid back dudes who know how to have a laugh and always want the best for those around them. Adam's really protective and caring. He was like a brother to me throughout this experience. Him and his family are so awesome. Such good people, his brother is hilarious. They all are."

Anoop: "He is also one of the most honest people, and it's so refreshing to have someone unfiltered like that. He is an open book and because of that, he is one of the most trustworthy people."

  94. 94

Lmao that goofy smiley was supposed to be a simple : )

Re: BlowinSunshine – Gold and Platinum sales tell me that people are buying his CD. Sure, some other Idols have sold more, but most have sold less. It is WAY too early for the haters to be predicting his failure. I'll listen to what haters have to say a year from now. Don't forget his other accomplishments: best selling Rolling Stone Mag in all of 2009, appearances on many, many major tv shows….all of this is because people WANT to see him. Idol is asking him back for a reason. They know he'll pull in the ratings more than any other former contestant…..

  96. 96

Adam Lambert has been the most successful alumn from Last Season in terms of Sales AND interest, and the most successful male contestant ever, thus far. His album went Gold and Double Platium, and debuted at #3 on Billboard's Chart. He changed the show completely, used the platform 200% to his advantage instead of letting it use HIM.

The hater comments would be hilarious if they weren't so blatantly fact-free. For those of us who prefer to live in a fact based world…The only reason this season's AI crop looks so anemic is because Adam set the bar exponentially higher than any previous season, thus forcing the rest of last season's contestants to up their game. Every interview outside the U.S has consisted of the interviewer laughing so hard at America, and how it is the ONLY country that doesn't get it - doesn't want to get it, so many backwards bigots and musically stunted Idol and teenie loonies. Even Strict Muslims countries have embraced Adam fully. You can't deny fate. Just like Simon predicted, Adam is on his way to worldwide superstardom and no amount of absurdly ignorant comments from the haters is going to change that.

  97. 97

Kris Allen on other hand, had the worst selling Idol Winner album in Idol HISTORY. Oh dear. Sources say Adam will be showing these wannabes how to infuse their performances with DRAMA. God knows those zombies need it. He's been in the Industry for over a DECADE and is still one of the most In Demand celebrities in the Music Biz. As stated,

He has friends and fans in: Queen, Slash, Steven Spielberg, Zeppelin, Steven Tyler + daugther, Tim Burton, Paul McCartney, Rob Marshall, Madonna, Cuomo, LPerry, Steven Fry, Gaga, Muse. Simon Fuller attended his Birthday Party.

Lastly, as mentioned already, Adam was the Group Counsellor last year. The House elected him to lean on, go to for advice, just because he was so natural with advice, and held the group together.

    This cach.e is ENDLESS.

  99. 99

WELL THEY HAD TO DO SOMETHING TO BOOST THE RATINGS this season sucks so bad. lambert is f-n ACE, made respect. it's like they're all just getting onstage and getting offstage just to win instead of showing who they are, KNOWING who they are, almost all of them lack courage and originality and personality. One girl is good, that's it. Can't wait for next week but I bet it will just be a tiny segment. Did you know the Idols don't even know he's mentoring them? They're kept in a secret bubble so they can't read all this stuff. I would be so relieved to have him as a mentor, he DOES make you feel so comfortable and confident, as does his empowering music

  100. 100

yaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I'm so excited he's going to be on there!! woop woop woop SQUEE
