R.I.P.

Ouch! Another one bites the dust!
The latest Broadway show on the chopping block is Looped, headlined by Valerie Harper.
The show - which is based off of events surrounding actress Tallulah Bankhead's intoxicated attempt to record one line of dialogue for her final film, Die, Die, My Darling - only made it to New York in early February, but reportedly has not even made enough in ticket sales to cover the cost of production!
So unfortunate. We suppose the theatre just isn't what it used to be!
Better luck next time, guys!

Please PLEASE stop using "R.I.P." for stories like this if you are also going to use it when a person dies. It's shocking to see that R.I.P. and think a celebrity has died.
.
I've been a long long time daily reader of Perez Hilton, and what other commentators have been saying rings true: it does not sound like Perez is writing the posts here any more. I miss the real thing.
Re: VeganVal – I agree. For a moment, I thought Valerie Harper died. RIP should be used for people only.
Dahlings, this is awful!
based ON, you illiterate poof.
a shame… a great show and a tour de force performance from soon to be Tony nominee Valerie Harper… perhaps a regional tour?
(and yes.. quit using RIP unless someone ACTUALLY died)
You really need to change your headline. For some, like me, I don't read everything, just the basics, since you tend to go on about crap. This headline implies Valerie died…….and the fact that her broad way show got canceled is really not news worth mentioning.
I saw this show last week. It was extraordinary! Tony worthy! Ashame.
