Survivor Producer Was Cheating With Co-Worker!

| Filed under: Legal MattersSad SadReality TV

This just keeps getting worse.

The body of Monica Beresford-Redman, the wife of Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman, was discovered in a sewer below a Cancun hotel days after she went missing during a family vacation.

Since then, quite a bit of evidence has made Bruce the primary suspect, and he's currently stuck in Mexico as the case is investigated.

Monica's sister, Carla Burgos, previously revealed that Monica had discovered her husband was having an affair, and now claims that the mistress was a co-worker on the reality series!

Awful!

We have a really bad feeling that this awful tragedy is going to have a lot more horrific twists before we officially know what went down.

Monica's family and friends are in our thoughts.

I wouldn't be too quick to judge. Plenty of men have affairs, and don't kill their wives, and they were in Mexico which isn't exactly known for their safe anything, or their wonderful police either. I mean sure the guy could have done it, but maybe we could give him the benefit of the doubt at least at first. Had he been in the states when it happened I would be a little less on the innocent until proven guilty, but lately Mexico has been murder city.

They say witnesses had seen the couple having a discussion on sunday and that he tried to hit her. I hope that doesn't mean it was him who threw her at the sewer.

Hmm - the mistress side should be investigated as a separate suspect too. Was she there too….lots of questions.

This producer was working on Sarah Palin's Alaska show. …

"Bruce Beresford Redman and Sarah Palin present work also led to her eight-part series on Alaska."

@CBenji I know Mexico doesn't have the best reputation when we talk about security, but seriously? Whether it was in the States or Mexico or even Africa, you can't give the benefit of the doubt to someone that was scratches in his arms and face. Police are doing their best out here, and they're not saying he killed his wife, he is only the prime suspect. And by the way, poeple do kill other people, even without a reason..

Before I judge this guy (and believe me, I love pre-judging guys! lol) I can't help but remember how dirty and corrupt Mexican authorities are. If some Mexican hotel worker, or someone like that, killed this lady, Mexican authorities are bound to go all out and find a scape-goat. The last thing they want is to further damage their tourism revenue. I used to go to Mexico on vacation all the time. But, I completely stopped after reading articles in the L.A. Times about a woman who got arrested along with her husband, just so that the cops could gang-bang her. And, the last time I was there the "Federales" tried to arrest a young friend of mine, while we were all hanging out in a group doing nothing illegal. We finally figured out they were just trying to shake us down for money! "La mordida" they call it.."the bite"..just harass some stupid americanos till they cough up some cash. And, a Grammy-winning jazz musician friend of mine got his beloved sax stolen in Cancun. He refuses to ever play in Mexico again; the cops did NOTHING to help him. Believe me, any American who still travels to Mexico on vacation is an idiot. The country is very dangerous and thoroughly corrupt.

Re: jeezlol – The USA is about three years behind being as dangerous and thoroughly corrupt as Mexico.
America won't survive another 4 years of Obama.

That's horrible. Rest in peace Monica..

Yeah, see edgb he could have scratches and have been fighting with his wife. And like jeezlol pointed out if someone saw that and knew he was a someone with some money God knows what could have happened after that. Yes there are some very bad dudes working as cops in Mexico, and it hasn't been a recent development either. It has been going on for years, but it has gotten much worse. Sure he could have killed his wife, but there could be lots of other things going on too. I am just saying if it were a bit more of a "reliable" agency, and that means any and all police in the USA I would be a bit more trusting in all parts of this story. No matter what the whole thing is very sad. I would hope the man that has had a bit of success would have been smarter than this too, but as we know that doesn't mean anything either.

Re: luvstotango – I'm not gonna get into the next national elections in the U.S., that'll come soon enough, I'm just talking about corrupt Mexican cops, military and such…yeah, we here in the U.S. have the occasional bad cop, but in Mexico almost ALL the cops are on the take of some sort and corrupt as all-get-out. I, for one, really respect our American police-officers and firefighters and military. They are some of the least corrupt in the world. And, our military guys (and gals) are honest and brave. Can't say the same about their Mexican counter-parts. Most of their military is in on the drug trade. How could you compare them to our brave soldiers fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq?

  14. 14

wow Perez, you and your bad feelings…..you should work for the FBI…I bet you could solve some of our nations greatest unsolved crimes!!! i mean, he was having an affair, so lock him up, he must have killed her!! maybe we should lock up tiger woods too, maybe he did it. or maybe that nazi cheater did it….how are your feelings on him? you think he did it? go fuck yourself dude. you think that poor chick's family and friends give a flying fuck that you claim they are in your thoughts??!! oh goody, they are in the thoughts of a filthy, disgusting, scab of a human being.

  15. 15

Re: luvstotango – I'm going to jump to the conclusion that you are probably like 15 years old and perhaps weren't paying attention during the 7 years prior to Obama getting into office because either you are uneducated or purposefully ignorant about what kind of corruption existed under the Bush / Republican Regime…..perhaps you should go do a little research beyond listening to conservative talk radio and watching FOX News before posting your ignorance anywhere on the internet….although it does provide the rest of us quite a laugh

I've been living in Cancun for 5 years. I'm frustrated by some of the comments stating that Mexico is a violent country. It most certainly is not. A few cities (especially on the northern border) have had violence issues lately, but that's over 2,000 miles from me. Please investigate the facts before you insult an entire country.

I heard 4 people got shot last week at a Hollywood restaurant… does that make the entire USA a violent country? (or even LA, for that matter?)

A good friend of mine works in customs in Cancun, and she says that the vast majority of tourist deaths in Cancun are heart attacks, with accidental drowning in a distant second. Highway car accidents take an extremely distant third, and she knows of no foreign tourists being murdered by Mexicans up to this point.

I will agree that the police aren't the best. I've had some very positive and very negative experiences with them, but I doubt it's as bad as the American media is making them out to be.

I hope the authorities get to the bottom of this situation very soon. Very sad.

Re: CBenji – So you're suggesting that they ignore the fact that he had scratches on his arms and face and that she was strangled? Those wounds when someone is being strangled are text book defense marks. He reach up and you claw at the arms to try to get the person to release you, you go for the eyes (face) neck any where you can reach on the upper front of the body. Witnesses heard them arguing before she disappeared and they said that he tired to hit her and he has motive. To cover up his infidelity. I'm sorry bit all of that is too coincidental for my liking. I would have suspected him too. I think they're pretty spot on in suspecting him with those kind of injuries. It doesn't matter what country they're doing the investigation in. ANY country in the world would have suspected him with that kind of evidence. A lot of men do cheat and kill their wives. Scott Peterson killed his wife and unborn child. Cannot put it past someone.

    He did it…ala OJ Simpson………
