3-D Glasses Suck!

At least, in some places they do!

Most places you go to see 3-D movie at offer you recycled, plastic specs to enjoy Avatar in your face.

However, there are some places that offer the experience with electronic 3-D glasses. Sounds fancy right? Well, it's not.

In fact, one critic at the Wall Street Journal gave the Clash of the Titans flick a biased review since his glasses made the images look "murky." After the review was printed, the film's 3-D converters invited the critic to watch segments at their office. After seeing the real deal, it was concluded that electronic 3-D glasses, while built to blow your mind, need to charged or changed of batteries every couple of uses. When they aren't, Megan Fox just looks like she is running away from a big set of LEGOs.

So make sure you are getting your money's worth if you can afford (and find) a theater that offers these electronic specs.

Because you're worth it!

3D glasses, cheapo plasitc or electronic, SUCK if you wear glasses to correct your vision. I say why pay more to poorly view a film.

Dude, the electronic 3D glasses only work with 3D movies that are made to work with them. These glasses have active shutters that blink on and off in each eye, giving you the same effect as polarization. It's your only option if you want to watch 3D TV — the paper glasses only work in the home with that crap red-green 3D, not modern 3D tech. They are a complete different technology than the "passive" glasses. Also, you can wear them over your glasses. I have weird vision and for whatever reason, I find the "active" glasses give me a better effect. /science lesson

I saw Alice in 3D and it was awful. My husband wears glasses and he had a headache after 5 minutes. I wasn't impressed with it at all. I saw the Muppets in 3D in 1994 at Disney world and it was fantastic, the charcters literally came out into the audiance and hit the back wall of the theater. This new movie i saw it was like looking thru a window and stuff maybe came 5 ft out from the screen. Not true 3D if you ask me.

Like I said before…3D is full on BS.

avatar was my first 3d imax experience, the glasses were so uncomfortable, they like had this huge thing at the top that literally hits your forehead, still epic though, but none are made to be like the 3d you get in disneyland or other themeparks … i dunno why? because the Terminator one at Universal Studios is by far amazing!! I guess they don't wanna scare anyone, and I remember 3D remake of Nightmare before Christmas, one thing popped out decently, but the rest was like almost 2D, then again, full of kids in the theatre :P
