Lopez Puts On A Happy Face

As we previously mentioned, Conan O'Brien will return to late night with a new show on TBS.
The show will begin at 11p.m. which will push George Lopez's Lopez Tonight to midnight - and he seems to be okay with it!
"I can't think of anything better than doing my show with Conan as my lead-in," said Lopez. "It's the beginning of a new era in late-night comedy."

This can only be a win-win situation for Lopez. Even though his show is being moved an hour later, he will likely have higher ratings and broader demographics with Conan as his lead-in.

What a crock. There's no way a performer like Lopez is going to be pleased to play second fiddle and be pushed back into late night oblivion. He may be a better actor than I thought.
not for nothin but the cable networks have a better late night lineup than cbs, abc, and nbc…tbs, E, and comedy central's shows are way better.

Jay Leno could learn something from George Lopez. I've followed George's career since the hey-days of him performing at the Improv, as well as watching him on ¡Que Locos!. He's a great comedian, very humble and someone who is always putting Latinos in a very positive light. He's a current Latino trendsetter.
Also, I'm thrilled to see Conan O'Brien back on late night — where he rightfully belongs. Him and George will make a great late-night combination, indeed! TEAM COCO & TEAM LOPEZ!

Yeah, the network asked Lopez first, and Conan even called him to be sure. George isn't stupid: He knows that Conan would be a great lead in to his show, upping his own viewership.
Love Lopez. He rocks late night.. Conan sucks ass. Wont be wactching him. But some nights with Lopez later, I may not get to tune in.
