Lost Stanley Kubrick Movie In Production And Starring ScarJo!!

Stanley Kubrick has another film in the works - despite having passed away 11 years ago!
Production is now underway for the film, Lunatic at Large, which is based off a treatment written by the acclaimed director and pulp writer Jim Thompson back in the late 1950s. Kubrick apparently misplaced the project, and his son-in-law, Phillip Hobbs, discovered it going through his estate back in 1999!
Hobbs says:
"I remember Stanley talking about Lunatic. He was always saying he wished he knew where it was, because it was such a great idea."
The film involves a group of characters, including a temperamental ex-carnival worker and a barfly, living in NYC in 1956. The audience must attempt to figure out which one is an escaped mental patient/axe murderer!
Inneresting!!
Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell are both attached to star!
Hopefully this one will work out better than the last two posthumous releases of Kubrick films - AI and Eyes Wide Shut just did not measure up!!
What do U think?? Will U go see Lunatic at Large???

I ove scarleyy johansson!! lol good for her
hmm…
AI was a Kubrick project he never worked on as a director. He handed the thing to Spielberg. By the way, most critics loved that film.
boy, that pic looks like a funny inverted nipple.
Carnies — Mental Patients — Axe Murdering — How could it not be a hit. Sounds wickedly fabulous!
can't wait!!
curiousred is correct - AI was originally proposed as kubrick production/spielberg film - kubrick himself wanted spielberg to man the lens with stanley obviously holding the creative weight - had kubrick still be alive - it probably would have been one hell of a picture. and for the record mr. perez - eyes wide shut was not a post humous release - not really anyway - he was alive and well during and all the way through post production only to pass a few weeks later - so yes he was deceased when it hit screens but only for a few months at most. just sayin—–
please be true! my favorite, sam rockwell, in a movie with a delicious plot like that - gotta have it!!
Eyes wide shut wasn't even a posthumous film, he directed and made it. i guess he did die before it was released but still.
"and Eyes Wide Shut just did not measure up!!"
What the hell?
lol Eyes Wide Shut is an amazing film
I guess just because it didnt make a lot of money it didnt "measure up"
I'm still trying to figure out who the Axe Wielding Homicidal Maniacs in REAL LIFE are!
i love those two movies!
and maybe..if it looks good enough.
you are really ignorant. do a little research
