Although we can't fathom why that show is still on the air, we love One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush!
And she's got a lot going on these days!
The actress has been cast in the ABC comedy pilot Southern Discomfort. But unfortunately, she won't be involved in the new show if One Tree Hill is renewed for an EIGHTH season.
Oh shiz! Take the comedy while you can and eff the CW. We know you're better than that, honey!

That being said, Sophia Bush should totally get out. That show is done with, and it has been ever since season three ended. Or rather, until CMM couldn't keep it in his disgusting pants. Good times, but now there's no point in beating the dead horse, so she should DEFINITELY do something else. She has the chops for comedy, she should do it!
People saying OTH has sucked since Season 4 are quite frankly pretty stupid. I will admit Season 4 was probably its best season followed closely by season 3. Season 5 was ok, and i thought Season 6 was pretty awesome quite frankly but this season has been pretty dreadful the new additions to the show such as Nathan's Agent and Haley's Sister are ok, but there storylines aren't exactly intriguing. The biggest flaw with the show now taht CMM and Hilarie Burton are gone is so many friendships and relationships seem "forced" because CMM and Hilarie were the center of everything, connected everyone so now they're jumping over gaps that those 2 held in order to forge friendships that wouldn't take place without them causes a lot of flaws. The show has had a terrific run, it deserves one last season hopefully with at least a small guest spot by CMM and Hilarie returning to end it nicely, as bad as this season has been further proves such a great show shouldn't be ended on such a low note.
Sophia Bush and I were friends in Grammar school! She looked the same then as she does now, only…smaller. She had the same raspy voice then too. Even as a fourth grader she was always well put together, and always made sure every hair was in place. Too bad we didn't keep in touch, because I'd tell her to leave OTH as soon as possible! She has way too much talent to stick with that teen soap opera. But I'd be wary of leaving for a pilot. Just because you film a pilot doesn't mean it'll be picked up. Heck, it may not even air. Tackle the movies baby, you can handle it!!

OTH is still a great show and there is so many more stories to be told! Perez you suck for saying "she deserves better" OTH is the foundation of her career and it's employed so many people over the years, hard working people from Wilmington, the show has heart and soul unlike any glamour glitzed show from L.A. From the writers to the producers to the ever so great creator Mark Schwahn who writes and directs the episodes. The show has kept me watching since 8th grade, just because you never watched it or don't like it don't say stupid SH** like this. GO OTH AND GO SEASON 8! perez hope u have a crappy day.

I am so happy that someone else agrees that OTH needs to stop.. it just needs to stop. Personally, the downfall for me was when Nick Lachey was Brooke's date and I had to take that nonsense seriously. I don't know if I feel worse for Nick Lachey or OTH for that whole arrangement.
Then lets talk about Jamie Jam and his bunny. If I wanted to watch a lovely couple raise an upstanding annoying child and constantly declare their perfect love for eachother, I would just watch Full House reruns. Remember when Dan shot Keith? Apparently this was not enough drama for our "drama" so we had to bring in the 8 year old with the spikey hair to tantalize us for 5,000,000,000 more seasons.

I can't believe they'll make an eight season. Come on! I love One Tree Hill, but since Lucas & Peyton are gone there isn't anything left to say. I mean, they were like the main characters, the whole series is based on them. And if you look at the number of viewers, it's only getting smaller and smaller. So The CW, if you read this: Stop it, you're ruining it all.

I used to watch One Tree Hill every week when it first started but like after the 5th season I just kind of stopped watching it. I watch it every now and then though. I think that they should do season 8 just to wrap up whatever they need to wrap and put a big bow on it and be done before it turns to crap.
And by the way Sophia Bush is awesome and she should def start to do more stuff. She is a great actress and she will succeed in whatever she does b/c she has talent.

Agreed. Used to be a die hard OTH fan. Haven't been as into the show since the middle of s5. And Peyton was my favorite character. I love Sophia, please just end the show CW and give Melrose and LUX a 2nd season.

OTH has no more stories to tell, tis why this season has been a bit painful to watch. I like Clay, and some of the storylines were decent, Dan always rocks, but the show just needs to RIP. I would like it more if Peyton was still on, my icon is of her! I want a s2 of Melrose!

After keeping us in suspense for a whole episode AGAIN, Hayley and Nathan gaze at each other lovingly and say I love you and the phrase "this family" about 6 times. Throw in the annoying way Nathan pronounces Hay-lee and seriously, just cancel this show. Please.
