It's a return to form!

The Scissor Sisters are once again doing what they do best - and we love it!

The band have announced plans to release a new album this June and have just dropped a preview track, produced by the amazing Stuart Price and featuring guest spoken word vocals by Sir Ian McKellan.

Can't listen 'cuz I'm at the library w/o headphones. But, love, love, love Scissor Sister. Have missed them and all their booty-shaking music. Can't wait to listen when I get home.

  3. 3

Awful, like everything else you like.

  4. 4

wow….very Frankie goes to Hollywood….if not a rip-off…very inspired by

Great song! Hope the whole album is this good. Jake promises it will make us want to dance our butts off. Woo hoo.

  6. 6

I love the Scissor Sisters, but that sound's to much like Floyd to me.

  7. 7

i do not like this song

  8. 8

First time I've ever even sort of liked one of your recommended songs. THIS IS AWESOME and I am going to download THIS VERY SECOND. Thank you, for once.

    GREAT audio dynamics. Nice job.

Oh no no! I love the Scissor Sisters, but this is rather lame. I hope it's not the lead single! After 2 listens I can't even remember the tune.

  11. 11

If that's the last track, the album should be slamming. Love it! Reminds me of the KLF a little. "White Room" album????

went to see the Scissor Sisters with my best brother at Riverstage in the Botanical Gardens…Ana Matronic made everyone turn around & howl at the full moon. we had tonnes of gay flavoured fun.

i'm NO FAN of the Scissor Sisters - but this is a great sound from Mr. Price!

  14. 14

    I love the Scissor Sisters!
This is quite different but still like it.
Would be really good with some 'e' with all the sounds that are mixed in.
Good to Hustle dance to, which is always a basic benchmark…can I dance to it or is it for chilling out.
Has a little Orbital quality to it… and a Ministry of Sound / Gatecrasher thrown in as well which I always love.
Would like one track with a clear House music feel to it, pretty please.

  15. 15

Love the song,,,,,memories of the 80's ooooooh have I just aged myself?

  16. 16

The begining beat reminds me of a Pink Floyd song. Not overly impressed.

  17. 17

This is one of those songs that almost takes off but unfortunately doesn't.
Also, the end is a copy of what Rufus Wainwright did on "Between My Legs" with Sian Phillips.

They probably want to remind everyone of their "Comfortably Numb" cover from 2004 - that's what this sounds like.

  19. 19

LOOOOVE IT!!!! Can't believe they're not gonna have this banger be the lead single, it has all the makings of a hit, especially if some quality mixers get their hands on it.

    What an incredible ass!

  21. 21

AND there going to Glastonbury this year!!!!!!!

  22. 22

My husband and I saw them several years ago at the House of Blues in Cleveland and they were fantastic.

  23. 23

    Yay!!!
    Forever a Sister!! xoxo Portia

This song sounds too disjointed. It's kind of like Pet Shop Boys meets ABBA, witth the Michael Jackson/Vince Price spoken part of Thriller thrown in towards the end.
I think that Stuart Price is a great producer, but the acts have started to line up for him - Killers, Kylie, Scissor Sisters etc - since his success with Madonna's Confessions and I don't think he has yet been able to repeat that winning formula to the same degree.

  25. 25

YOU HAVE THE WORST TASTE IN MUSIC!

Quick question…do you like anything that a teenage retard with a Mac couldn't make in his basement while slamming meth and E?

    Not bad…not bad at all

  27. 27

Awesome! June 29th can't come soon enough

  28. 28

That is one cute ass … woof woof!

  29. 29

Am I the only one who thinks it sounds like a one-off of the Pet Shop Boys? Not bad, but more Neil Tennant than Jake Scissors.

  30. 30

the music is such a rip off from pinks floyds the wall !!!

  31. 31

Finally ! This is one of the best dance songs I have heard in over a year !

  32. 32

i love it. it's crazy good!

  33. 33

mmmm … leather flogging music. I agree it's a bit Floyd-meets-club, but I like it.

  34. 34

    Nice ass!

Im not a huge fan of TSS but i love this. Stuart Price is a fucking genius i know its a diffrent suject all together but stuart and jake shears have worked with kylie on her album also coming out in june it makes me excited for her new stuff as well.

  41. 41

Very Pink Floyd, but Pink Floyd is the best, so I can't say anything bad. It's good enough to end up on my playlist.

  42. 42

LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the new album!
