DanRad Heading To Broadway Again!

Daniel Radcliffe is returning to Broadway to star in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in Spring 2011!
It'll be DanRad's triumphant return to the Great White Way after starring in Equus back in 2008 and 2009.
Dan will be playing "ambitious window washer" J. Pierrepont Finch in the revival and we're sure he'll be amazing!

I just love him. I sure hope he keeps his nose clean and has the long, amazing career that he should.
I think he'll be perfect. He was beyond hilarious as a horny Boy Scout in Extras and has a real comedic gift. I never heard him sing but reports are that he did a bang up job in the tryouts.
I'm don't like this. It's not that Daniel Radcliffe isn't talented - he is. However, "Ponty" is supposed to be an older role, I don't like that they're casting him much younger for this revival.

Re: belleoftheball – Who says? Ponty is a window washer. Could be 20 could be a bit older. In fact both previous Pontys (Broderick and the other guy) were probably too old for the role, but they couldn't find anyone younger who could sing okay.
I saw him in Equus in London (and I met him in NYC), and I think anyone who wants to judge him on his acting skills should see a video tape of him in Equus. He was brilliant. I have to admit the play freaked the hell out of me, but words can't describe his role as Alan Strang. It was indeed a very powerful play. I'll admit, we went to London just to see the play ONLY because he was naked (plus to see Richard Griffiths), but it turned out the actual play was very good.
For the 2nd time, I am so happy I live in NY. I am going to see this musical as soon as it starts showing. I heard he was getting singing lessons, which made me think he was going to do something like this. I hope he has a long acting career after HP, but if not in films, then on stage. More chances to see him live in person!
YAY! I saw that show in the late 90's with Mathew Brodrick when Broadway was still all porno theaters!

He's so CUTE!!! I think this is the PERFECT casting decision! DanRad is such a talented actor and a surprisingly good singer. He was brilliant in Equus and I know he will just as amazing in his second Broadway run.

We haven't heard anything from him directly since he got food poisoning in New York. I assume he is okay. It was bad enough to send him to the hospital, because dehydration which is a result can damage the kidneys permanently. When he comes back to New York he should bring his own chef with him to make sure his food doesn't make him sick, or learn to cook for himself. LOL
Does that character sing? If so…can he even sing? Also that show is so out dated that it will close quickly on Broadway like Ragtime and Bye Bye Birdie. Those shows are just out dated.

I doubt they would cast him if he couldn't sing. There was a report that the producers were blown away by Dan's audition, so I guess he can definitely sing.
