Check out this never before seen, unreleased commercial of Madonna on the set of Vogue promoting ~~Pepsi~~ Nike. (above)

Because she took too long to sign the contract, Madonna was later replaced with Paula Abdul.

Paula Abdul kicked Hagdonna's ancient ass back in the 80s. Abdul had hits left and right, while Hagdonna's releases flopped hugely. Whitney and Janet also kicked the old woman's sorry ass, making her the Queen of Flops as early as the 80s.

Madonna had racked up numerous top 5/top 10 singles by that point, including 5 #1 singles, and landed two more the year of 1990 (which is the year the Vogue video was filmed), as Vogue and Justify My Love hit the #1 position, giving Madonna 7 #1 singles in just 7 years. Paula was huge in 1989 for a couple of years, and Janet had a good run for several years—but Madonna has outlasted them all. Of Janet, Paula, and Madonna, only one of them has been able to sell out soccer stadiums since 1987. Madonna. She was doing it then, and she's still doing it today.
