Kenny Chesney Wants To Save The Parks!

Kenny Chesney is a real life Leslie Knope!

The country singer is attempting to raise money for the National Parks Conservation Assocation by donating $1 from the first 50,000 tickets sold of his Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D concert film to help fund projects at the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Biscayne National Parks!

He says:

"Any time you can give back or help protect our nation's parks, that's a good thing. Growing up near the Smokey Mountains — or spending as much time in the U.S. Virgin Islands as I do — you realize what a resource it is for all of us. No matter who you are, what you do, that beauty is all of ours to enjoy — to go camping, hiking, to sail in — and that undeveloped land is a gift. But it's a gift to maintain. The idea people could buy tickets for my movie, and a dollar from each ticket will help maintain the parks, made me really happy. I know a lot of people are gonna see it, [and] they can also help the National Parks Conservation Association raise $50,000 to get us started on this partnership."

What a wonderful gesture!
