Xtina Announces World Tour! This Summer!
Uh oh! This could be trouble!
Christina Aguilera will be touring the world starting with the US in July to promote her newest album, Bionic - out in June.
Xtina also revealed how it was easy to choose her first single Not Myself Tonight after spending the last six months shooting the upcoming film Burlesque.
She says:
"I had to sort of put everything on hold musically for the record and dive in to filming the movie and for the last six months and a half I haven't really been able to be myself tonight so "Not Myself Tonight" was the perfect explanation for how I've been feeling and wanting to break out of the cage and the mold and release what I've been sitting on for so long so it was really nice and I was like, 'I'm in. This is my song and this is the first single.'"
We're loving it and can't wait to see her hit the stage this summer!
But…
Will she have some difficulties filling large venues? Her new song hasn't exploded at radio or the iTunes chart yet. And the tour comes VERY soon after the album's release. If Xtina keeps ticket prices reasonable and promises all the hits, we think the tour could do - and should do - very well!

Her new single is one of those ones you have to listen to a few times before you either like it or hate it. It's definately not one of those instant "OMG I LOVE THIS SONG" type of songs.

her song was one of the most added songs on radio across america and the world when it came out and it just hasnt exploded on the charts cause she hasnt promoted it yet, hence why theres no video and no live performances lined up for the near future

The tour is a bit soon but she has some MAJOR promo lined up within the next few months that will let people know that she is back and she is going to SLAY.

What was the last REAL hit song she had? From her 'Stripped' CD? That last song (with the superhero video) flopped as did that CD, I don't see this one doing any better. I disagree w/duelastar. I think this song is one of those u love or hate right outta the box. I love it, but it's gonna do like Janet Jackson's last few dance songs (Feedback, Make Me) and go nowhere. Christina NEVER had the hit songs or album sales Britney had and she ain't gonna start now. Her tour, unless it's State Fairs, is gonna flop. WHOREiah Scarey couldn't even fill theatres and she has TEN times the album sales and hit songs!! And I don't think her face or look will translate well on the big screen. Her next tour should be a Time Machine Theme…With all her singles it would just fit…I'll watch some shows on YouTube before I will buy a ticket. Perez…you seem to have a problem with singers going on tour lately. Last week Rihanna started her "Last Girl On Earth" tour. You said she'll have trouble filling the large venues yet she sold out Europe completely including here in Dublin. She even added a second date. Rihanna may not have the strongest voice but she's been around a few years now and has had almost 20 hits worldwide including a long string of number 1's.
Christina is one of the biggest female artists of all time. Her voice is phenomonal and inlike Gaga she does not need all these fashion gimiks to get herself noticed. Although I'm not an Xtina fan I do think you are putting other artists down to keep Gaga at the top.
