Shocker.

Seth Rogen's Green Hornet is the latest flick to get the 3D treatment!

Unfortunately, director Michel Gondry shot the original footage with regular cameras, so the time it will take for conversion will push the release date from December 22nd to January 14th!

Not too severe a delay!

What do U think?? Is the 3D worth the wait??

Nope. Post production 3D is almost never worth it. Look at Alice in Wonderland and Clash of the Titans. The 3D versions were a waste. It didn't add anything at all. Movies shot in 3D like Avatar actually were worth the 3D price. Not that any of those were spectacular, but at least the 3D was worth it in Avatar.

    can't wait……….NOT…………. Mario what a fucktard you r!!!!!!!!

it looks crap when they convert it later. remember clash of the titans?

  4. 4

    No it'll look shit

Anytime the movies are shot in 2D and then converted to 3D they suck.

Post production 3D sucks. ESPECIALLY if it's a rush job like this. For realz.

3D movies make more money than the usual 2D movies - hence the studios are motivated more by the bucks that the 3D movies make. Someone should tell these studios that they should not charge the movie goers money for 3D specs if they already have it. If you did return the 3D glasses, they will recyle it and make you PAY for it again the next time you watch a 3D movie. Surely there has to be a greener approach to this? Try this the next time - insist that you already have the glasses and DO NOT pay for them !

Ughh converting to 3D means crappy 3D. You have to shoot it in 3D if it's gonna be any good.

Ouch. A January release date…. not good.

Honestly, I've heard the film is shit. The studio isn't proud of it. They're probably adding the 3-D just to try to get a few extra bucks from higher ticket prices.

    Poor Michel Gondry.

The post production 3D won't make it better or actually appear 3D. On same note I think the 3 week push back has more to do with the fact it won't be very good. Typically the movies studios had hope to slate for Christmas release and notice in Oscar season that don't meet expectations get pushed back to that week of January.

omg i'm so over every single movie in 3d… get over it.

Seth is funny and he's chubby!! :)

  17. 17

    OMG enough with the 3D

Sadly, this sounds like a last ditch effort towards a gimmick. If they "have" to resort to this 3D gimmick after moving the movie date so many times, it makes us in the public belive its no good. It'll be a wonderful surprise if it turns out to be good…but..errrrr..I don't have much hope right now after reading this…

Soooooooooooooooo SICK of 3d! Avatar was cool and used it to enhance the general feel and setting. These other films are just trying to cash in the novelty of it with craptacular results. 3d, just like when film went colour to compete with tv, doesn't cover up for mediocre story and dull characters. Fricken die already!

I don't think it would be worth the wait–why pay more money to 3d-arize a movie that no one has seen yet and could, potentially be a flop?
If the gun is anything to go buy,it looks like a flop to me.

  21. 21

has the trailer even come out yet?

Putting this movie in 3d is like putting lipstick on a pig.
