I will definitely be picking this up. My Marilyn collection obsession is borderline unhealthy…. it's so Lindsay of me ;)

    What a beauty!
So was Gene Tierney, Jean Harlow, Jean Craine. Oh the old classic stars were so much more watchable.

  8. 8

Yes! I am so happy they are sharing her writing, etc. even if they are just doing it to make a buck! Marilyn was a complicated, beautiful woman and it's nice they are selling her mind instead of her T&A for a change. Love it!

Marilyn is legendary…. I love her and respect her wholeheartedly..

  19. 19

ya ill pass on that. dont think her fame came from her famous poetry and literature. she got famous for banging half of hollywood and however many kennedys were swappin turns on her at the time.

now that is what CURVY looks like, look at her hourglass figure. Now days all these fat chicks are sugar coating their appearance as curvy when they are really just fat. Marilyn is gorgeous and will always be the most beautiful blonde.

i have mixed feelings about this, honestly. (and i LOVE this woman!) the fraction of me that is against this DOES have a reason for feeling that way… what she wrote and the photos she took were her personal and private things. i would be mortified if (even after i die) if one of my journals or poems was suddenly on a shelf at the bookstore for all to see if it wasn't me who decided to put it there. poems and the things you write (for whatever reason, especially if you wrote them bacause you had to get some intense feelings out -the sadness or anger you felt, etc..) are a part of you and your soul. i just think they should be kept to her. we all have so much of her already, we have the books about her and books of photos of her, etc… her life (and death) has been under a microscope for so long and she went through so much. maybe these things were all she had left that was noone else's but her own. as i said, i absolutely love mailyn monroe but i also have an appreciation for personal and sentimental works. sorry if some of you don't get what i'm saying. i just had to say it. they were my feelings that i had to get out. (and chose for others to see and say what they may about them -but the deceased don't get that choice)
