"Six years after its founding at the University of Georgia, UGA HEROs became the highest fundraising collegiate philanthropy in Georgia, raising over $363,000 and involving more than 2,000 student members in 2008 alone.

The purpose of UGA HEROs is to support H.E.R.O. (Hearts Everywhere Reaching Out) for Children, Inc.—headquartered in Atlanta—whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children infected with and/or affected by HIV and AIDS through enriching programs, unforgettable experiences, and connections to the community."

This is such a great organization! Thanks for taking the time to profile them. They're doing fantastic things for children affected by HIV/AIDS. They're offering hope to a group of kids who need it so very much.

This organization is truly amazing. Today is actually the last day of their "8 Kids. 8 Days" campaign where they are trying to raise enough money in 8 days to send 8 kids through HERO for Children's programs.
