Chris Brown responded to the mass of criticism he received after singing the national anthem at the BOXING match between Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosely.
He took to Twitter to say:
"thx for all the support from my fans…"
"Im human. how many of u r perfect????????"
"if there is no forgiveness, there is no change… im humbled by everything…"
"if i wasnt somewhat sane and loved my fans and music so damn much i would give up.. but thats not why i was put on this earth… youll see!"

omg, I was watching the ppv thing on hbo and saw this loser chris brown get up there and start singing and I was like how the fuck did this loser sneak up there, and this clown was trying all extra hard but no one was feeling him, I was at a very large venue and everyone started to laugh and boo, I'm surprised he wasnt wearing a tshirt that said I knocked out rihana, but I guess a boxing match was the right place for this loser to turn up at. chris no one likes you, the only fans you have are short fat ugly black girls that are blindly jealous of rihana. fuck off and go hide out in jzs new house in Pennsylavnia where no one has to see you.
I am a woman and I have been in an abusive marriage. I also know that the only way to move on and to learn from this type of situation is to examine all factors which led to me being in that type of situation. Forgiveness is the end of that road and journey and forgiveness is what ultimately sets you free and allows you to never make those mistakes again. Rihanna has forgiven him and that's all that matters. He is young and did a really dumb and selfish thing but, all who are condemning his mistakes, Can you honestly say you have made none of your own….including you Perez. Let's look for heeling and Perez don't be so stingy with the forgiveness that you yourself have been granted in the past.

Dismissing violence with such ignorant cliche's as "we all make mistakes" or "nobody's perfect" simply excuses the violent act and allows that kind of dangerous behaviour to persist - it codifies the act of violence by not making the abuser accountable for his actions. And what if he had beaten her to death? Would his actions still be excused because he is young, human, and imperfect? Granting mercy to an abuser for his actions strips the value of life away from his innocent victim. To say that he has been humbled and then perform at a *boxing match* suggests that he is either incredibly ignorant, or just doesn’t care as much as he’d like the media to believe.
