NBC Picks Up JJ Abrams' New Pilot

Sounds inneresting!

J.J. Abrams' new pilot Undercovers has been picked up by NBC for next season. The show centers around a married couple who are re-activated as CIA agents after being retired for years.

This is the first Abrams-directed pilot since 2004's Lost. NBC's primetime president Angela Bromstad says:

“Having J.J. on our creative team is a great reason for celebration. In Undercovers, J.J. and Josh [Reims] have found a breakout couple that is rich in character and brimming with romance and action. We feel he’s found the perfect cast.”

Will U be checking it out?

that's bullshit, another JJ pilot, named Fringe was picked up in 2008 and just got renewed for a third season. check your facts perez! xo

Sorry rwn, but you're wrong. JJ never directed the Fringe pilot. He was just a writer and producer.

    Sounds kind of like Chuck.

Sounds like he picked up where he left Sydney and Vaughn on Alias.

  7. 7

SERIOUSLY Perez? Ripping off the headlines straight from EW.com in order. Next will be "David Boreanaz admits to cheating on wife".

Finally — NBC does something right

We already have a show about the CIA and secret agents… it is called CHUCK and it is amazing!

  10. 10

Awesome. I will be watching this. Anything JJ touches is gold. Alias, Lost, Fringe, and I'm sure this will be awesome too.

His shows always seem like they would be better as a Mini-series or something, not a full blown TV show.

  12. 12

Let's get some non-kosher talent producing some shows for once! We need a LOT more diversity in TV and Hollywood!

  13. 13

Wow, another pilot he can throw out there and have other people do all the real artistic work. yay.

  14. 14

um he did Fringe you fucking idiot … which is an AMAZINGGGGGGG SHOW!!!!!

  15. 15

I don't know who this guy is? I thought at first he was another Jonas Brother! lol

  16. 16

Originality seems to be lacking these days. Don't we already have a zillion other shows like this to watch?
