Over 1 Million iPads Sold!

The iPhone is weeping this morning as it's bigger, badder cousin, the iPad has surpassed it BIG TIME!
This morning Apple Inc. announced that in the month's time since it's release, the iPad has already sold over 1 million units. In comparison, the tablet sold twice as fast as the iPhone did when it was first released.
Burn!
Techies at Apple revealed that the milestone was reached due to the introduction of the 3G model of the iPad on Friday. This new model, which can access AT&T's network, helped the iPad reach it's awesome achievement.
Don't worry, iPhone. In about five years, there will be something else to surpass the iPad. That is just how Apple rolls!

Surprisingly I don't own one and am still alive. My Ipod touch is totally doing it for me. No need to get the IPad pr Phone for that reason. Some trends are better spent not following.

Well people were still wary of a touch-screen only telephone back when the first iPhone released. Now people are more open to the idea.

The iphone only works with AT&Ts service… and since AT&T BLOWS i don't have an iphone… the Ipad doesn't have that restriction… DUH!

Went to the store in Soho and picked it up…HOLY SHIT! That thing weights a ton and it's huge, and it was pretty unimpressive!!! I have an iphone and a macbook Pro. It's nothing that has not been seen before. The iphone was revolutionary, the iPoop is not. Also I just a guy on the subway with one and he looked like a boob!!! I'll stick with the iphone, it's really portable and includes a GPS already. : )

all the people who wanted an iphone but couldn't get it probably bought the ipad…. imagine what the iphone would do if they had it on all wireless networks, same with the ipad… they're really limiting themselves by only having it under at&t.. which sucks anyway!
waste of money for something that doesn't support flash, this doesn't have a camera and cannot download any 3rd party applications. i would wait for the hp slate
