Madonna, the Queen and King of Pop and the ultimate Master of the Music Video should have at least 3 entries in the top 3.

  2. 2

  3. 3

  4. 4

You're the pinnacle of assholedom Perez. Michael was the King of Pop. WTF does your idiotic name "Clonetina" have to do with this? I like Gaga too but I hope I'm the first person who gets to rub your horse face in it when Christina's new recording goes top 10.

  5. 5

OK Go's and Queen's were SO much better… imho.

  6. 6

madonna and gaga are missing there but its ok

  7. 7

Sorry Xtina? Where's your precious GaGaloowhatthefuckever?

  9. 9

I agree with JonSin. The list is interesting… but can we really trust 1000 people for this kind of thing? Why not ask youtube to give the stats on the top 10 most played music videos?

  10. 10

that old video "Cry" should be one

  11. 11

Hurt is such a powerful video. I saw it a few days ago for the first time in forever, and it almost made me cry. So sad, but such a great music video!

  12. 12

remember this is just myspace users… so the majority of these people probably haven't even seen these videos since they are like 12 years old but because they know the singers names they just randomly clicked on them lol

  13. 13

and really who cares about a myspace poll anyways .. im embarrassed for perez to even post something so pathetic as this…

  14. 14

George Michael and Bjork and Madonna have made outstanding videos and are not on the list???

  15. 15

A thousand Myspace users? That's not very many and at this point in Myspace lifespan that's probably not a very good representation of the general public.

  16. 16

No Gargoyle? lmao. Zero influence, just like you fatboy.

  17. 17

  18. 18

I'm not surprised Thriller was voted the most influential video, but I was surprised that Madonna's Vogue music video did not make the list.

  19. 19

I guess the OK Go video is influential, but better than "Take on Me"? HELL NO. Some great choices here though, definitely. Bohemian Rhapsody obviously, "Weapon of Choice" for the Walken factor alone, oh and I didn't see "Sabotage" coming at all, but that's an amazing video as well.

No love for "Buddy Holly" or "Like a Virgin" though?

  20. 20

Wow… no gaga, no madonnna, and certainly no Sliimy. Perez, you are batting zero on this one.

Can't help but think that Lady Googoo is going to run out of 15 minutes some time soon. Just wondering if you will first Mario.

  21. 21

Lady Gargoyle made the list most retarded video of all time………… Congrat to Gargoyle!!!

  22. 22

britney spears??? you are kidding me right? sorry this list is crap, except thriller, and mayyyybe the johny cash one.

  23. 23

    Thriller deserves to be #1!!

  24. 24

This actually isn't a bad list at all.

  25. Laury says – reply to this

I totally agree with the results. Although, I'm kind of surprised Madonna wasn't in there, you'd think Like a Virgin would've made the cut… But yeah, Thriller is pretty much the best and most influential video ever made, although it scared the hell out of me when I was little. And Hurt makes me wanna cry everytime I see it.

  26. 26

    What about Fish Heads??

  27. 27

dont see you man gayfuck on the list either

  28. 28

;) No surprise there. Go Michael!

  29. 29

Britney…really? wtf was so influential about that video? and people will take this the wrong way…but Mj wouldnt have been #1 if he was still alive. clearly this list is crap.
and sorry christina? i dont see your bitch gaga there either.

  30. 30

    This shouldn't be a surprise.
If it was, where were you in the last 2 decades or so?????

  31. 31

HURT is brilliant! But no "Vogue"? I am stunned!

  32. 32

No surprise there thriller is the best.

  33. 33

Seriously? LAME. No Like a Prayer, Express Yourself, Vogue, Like a Virgin, Justify My Love or Ray of Light? All of those along with Chris Issack Wicked Game and George Michaels Freedom 90 should be on this list.

  34. 34

Yeah, Thriller is definitely the #1 video. Something by Madonna should have been on the list..Material Girl or Vogue or something.

  35. 35

OF COURSE it is MJ. Evrerboyd knows that THRILLER was THE video and has always topped these kind of charts.

    Its the groundbreaking video. !!

  36. 36

    Billy Joel's "Pressure."
    K&J's Wedding

  37. 37

Most of your videos are boring videos except for Mikey

5- She works hard for the money - Donna Summer
4- Baby one more time - Britney
3- All right & Control - Janet Jackson
2- Most of the videos from Madonna
1- Thriller, Billie Jean & I remember the time- M.J.

  38. 38

He touched millions with his music and hundreds with his hands.

  39. 39

OK GO???? really? that video sucked! I'll agree with Michael Jackson, Ah-Ha, Peter gabriel, and Queen.

  40. 40

Just wanted to point out… I just watched 3 videos on youtube. Fighter by Christina , Beautiful and Hurt.. All have the same dark vibe as the current one.. So the point is … Who copied who.. BTW when has Gaga sung anything that has had an impact on someone life .. I mean I don't see Telephone, Bad Romance making kids feeling better about themselves. I dont see Gaga giving a message to inspire

  41. 41

There's Thriller and then there's everything else. But My Space? MY SPACE? Why didn't they just go to a middle school and hand out ballots?

  42. 42

Madonna's Like A Prayer should be on the list it was huge in its day and the most controversial of her Videos and without Madonna’s videos there would be no Brit Brit or Lady GaGa

  43. 43

  44. 44

To me the video that defined the MTV age was Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top (and all the other Eliminator videos). I would also throw in Billy Jean and Photograph by Def Leppard.

  45. 45

Yeh obviously Thriller, but wheres The Jacksona 'can u feel it' it was the first music videoto use speacial affects

  46. 46

Where the hell is Madonna? She made the best videos of the 80's and 90's????????????????????????

  47. 47

britney rocks lol but it hould have had some gaga & madonna

  48. 48

Of course it is! It's a classic! Go MJ! :)

  49. 49

Madonna has had some nice songs and may be an icon, but seriously her videos are not that interesting. Maybe only ”Like A Prayer”.

  50. 50

You're kidding me! Who came up with this shit! Britney spears!??! HAHA!!! this has got to be a joke! Thriller is going to top all lists that's a given.

This should be the real list
    1)Michael Jackson-Thriller
    2)GunsNRoses-November Rain
    3)Queen-Bohemian Rapsody
    5)Aha-Take on me
    6)Nine Inch Nails-Closer
    7)Prodigy-smack my bitch up
    8)Janet Jackson-Rhythm Nation

    The rest I don't care about….

  51. 51

it should have been fuck the police by NWA!

  52. 52

    Re: dimplecheeks

I agree ”Can You Feel It” by the Jackson 5 is one of the most beuatfiul videos I've seen. The song was a huge hit in Europe, but it never was in the US, that's why maybe….

  53. 53

Ummmm…I don't mean to sound offended by this list, but no MADONNA? This makes no sense whatsoever. Who did they poll…12 to 18 yr olds? Ridiculous~~~

  54. 54

Pretty good list, except for a couple.

  55. 55

No Gaga? GASP! This list isn't very good though.

  56. 56

where the fuck is madonna???!! thats a no brainer. i think gaga shouldve been on there too. but madonna is so obvious,.

  57. 57

I would think Llike a Prayer would have made it, as much as I think Madonna's music/entertainment quality has gone down. I totally agree with Take on Me and Sledge Hammer, as well as Thriller (obviously). I actually agree with most of this list…

  58. 58

What about "Video Killed the Radio Star". THe first video ever on Mtv. Who cares if The Buggles didn't do shit after that.

  59. 59

Thriller was practically the video that started the trend of music videos – it was the iconic music video. Yeah Michael :) . Can't say I know who Ok Go is, and I would much rather chose Madonna before Britney, as her style was Madonna inspired. I do remember a few good Madonna videos – Vogue defiantly comes to mind.

  60. 60

Well, these are of course best-sellers. Thriller, by the way, is so LAME. CHEAP!!! FAKE!!! I freaking hate that song and video. Sorry. I love some of MJ's other stuff, though.

Whenever I see those yellow contacts and Cats castoffs I just shudder…

  61. 61

Observe very well Lady Gaga and Modonna, and bow down to pop royalty. Miss Britney Spears.

  62. 62

"Sorry, Xtina, you REALLY didn't make the cut!"
Yup..and neither did Madonna or Lady Gaga.

  63. 63

I agree but disagree. where the fuk is Madonna on this list? She should have been number 3, Queen should have been either first, then Michael or Madonna and then so on and so forth.

  64. 64

Missy Elliot: I Can't Stand The RAIN!

  65. 65

Michael had *the most* gorgeous smile in the biz. RIP MJ

  66. 66

Why do you feel the need to throw unnecessary shade at Christina? You're so pressed. If her video sucks so much why is her name constantly in her mouth?

  67. Lyns says – reply to this

"Sabotage" is my ALL TIME favorite video! Glad it made the list!

  68. 68

britney haters seem to forget that "baby one more time" was one of the most talked about and best selling song/vid of last years of the 90s. it also changed pop history by putting a young girl called princess britney spears as madonnas heir

i agree. madonna should have been on there.

  69. 69

go fuck yourself, perez. what do you have christina? She is amazing. This list is shit anyway, besides thriller. Madonna's not on the list???

  70. 70

Cher: If I Could Turn Back Time. The first music video banned to a later time slot by MTV
And what do you have against Xtina? She's much more talented than Britney. Much better voice than GAGA. Although I love GaGa there is room for both.

  71. 71

Neither did GaGa loser!!! Glad MJ made it #1. He CREATED music videos with this one.

  72. 72

hmmmm….missing 3 big videos….madonna like a virgin….duran duran hungry like the wolf….and nirvana smells like teen spirit. and what is your problem with Christina? She is SO much more talented than GAGA, and I love gaga. Gaga is a shocker, an attention getter, but christina will sing and bring tears to your eyes. there is no comparison.

  73. 73

myspace users are hardly a credible source for a poll like this. Surprisingly they were smart enough to omit gaga. She's just more trash in the music industry.

  74. 74

christopher walken was so hott in that vid

    sledgehammer sux

  75. 75

yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…………….. AND NOOOOOOO LADY FUCKING GAG GAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCK ON THAT DICK PEREZITOOOO!!!

im pleased with this list especially with the likes of daft punk and fatboy slim. im so glad that techno was recognized as influential music :D

  76. 76

i like britney spears and all but how can SHE be on the list and not madonna. she has MANY great music videos, vogue & like a prayer being two of the best. one of those two definitely should've been on the list.

  77. 77

oh and janet jackson! she had some great videos too! rhythm nation, control, alright. all classics. why wasn't she on that list and britney spears was? janet & madonna definitely should've gotten on there.

  78. 78

How about Nirvana - Teen spirit

  79. 79

Bow to the Queen of Pop, Britney Spears!

  80. 80

everyone needs to come down! this was not a professional poll! it was plainly for fun by the random people of myspace! it's not etched in stone somewhere!
and for the most part, the list isn't half bad. all those videos did impact pop culture in some way.

  81. 81

Not all of these are actually influential. "Weapon of Choice," "Hurt," and "Here It Goes Again" are all really famous, but not much subsequent influence.

    Love you Perez xx

  82. 82

Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love." After "Thriller," it was probably the most iconic music video EVER. I didn't much care for the song, but 24 years later, is there anyone that hasn't seen that video?

  83. 83

Smack my Bitch Up by Prodigy.

  84. 84

Re: truth in life – Good thinking!

  85. 85

No Weird Al? :) Any of his send up's should have made the top 10. Agreed; Madonna over Britney. Love Fatboy Slim, but doesn't belong in the top 10, nor does Johnny Cash and the Beastie Boys. All great but not groundbreaking.

  86. 86

BOW DOWN FOR THE QUEEN GODNEY F*CKing SpeaRs…!!!!!!!!!!!
BOW DOWN FOR THE QUEEN GODNEY F*CKing SpeaRs…!!!!!!!!!!!

  88. 88

    Re: amorhombre
    Spot on list. WTF Britney?!?

  89. 89

Perez, youre soo far up gagas ass its hysterical.

  90. 90

    Daft Punk rocks my life.

  91. 91

Come to Daddy by Aphex Twin, directed by Chris Cunningham, definitely deserved to be on the list. At least All is Full of Love by Björk! Thriller is insanely overrated, but expected. I don't understand Britney's placement, at all.

  92. 92

Not only did he create the most influential video of all time and the biggest. He was one of the most influential people to walk this earth. All his videos, not just thriller have completely inspired me. I love smooth criminal and dirty diana.

  93. 93

Re: pghamy – SOOO agree with you! Also, who the fuck is Ok GO?

  94. Catty says – reply to this

What about Smells Like Teen Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Screw this survey!

  95. 95

    Where is Duran Duran???????

  96. 96

'Weapon of Choice' is one of the most entertaining music videos I've ever seen, and 'Sledgehammer' is AMAZING.
Johnny Cash's rendition of 'Hurt' is possibly the greatest song ever recorded

  97. 97

So glad that Britney gets some recognition. She truly deserves it, besides she is freaking awesome! But anyway funny that AHA is on that list

  98. 98

OK GO? Really? Patheticness. Madonna should have definitely been #2

  99. adn23 says – reply to this

that's bullshit, Perez and you know IT

  100. 100

bwaaahahaha! Generation Y sucks major donkey dick. Their contribution is Britney Spears. Freaking hilarious.
