Soccer is my FAVOURITE sport but this "cover" is lame. The guys obviously don't fel "united" in what they do. And WTF is the American doing there? The US turns every sport in an extreme money-making commercial farce that alienates players from their so-called fans. In other countries soccer (football) joins communities and the nation. Here it promotes "celebrity" which is not what sport is about. BOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. 3

    who cares about the sport????
look at those… those… abs! yeah, abs… my eyes weren't a looking anywhere down… of course not! :P

Soccer might not a top American sport, but these athletes are some of the fittest people in the world. Every parent should place their child in soccer at least once, it is so good for the bodies, cordination and stamina.

no one takes American soccer seriously… other countries laugh at us

Re: Beach Bum – Kaka is happily married - unfortunately. And unlike the celebrities of America, he'd NEVER cheat on her. He is a very genuine, amazing human being. And so. Gorgeous.

Take a good look, America. This is what it means to be a TRUE athlete! I cant wait for the World Cup!

@peter_antoine Everyone in the world BUT America cares about the sport. So…that's a lot of fucking people.

Re: djnv2009 – LOOOOL. But Kaka is the one in the middle…

"Jungle"- sexy, tribal, summer anthem. Listen now.

  17. 17

kinda a shame Langdon Donovan is one of the hottest US players b/c he's a butterface.

seriously, if women watch the world cup you will be amazed at how many insanely hot men play that sport. christ, most of the Russian team is sexy as hell. it's like the supermodel sport or something lol.

until you look at the Brazilian team…yikes, that country needs better orthdontia.

  21. 21

The guy wearing jeans could pump a load into me. For sure. Ahh, hell they could all tag-team me. ;)

  22. 22

Well, they got MOST of this right. I would have excluded Landon Donovan, who was only fitted with that prop on his head to hide the fact that he's got a seriously receding hairline. tee hee

I want a life sized poster of these fellows….forget, I just want the fellows.

  26. 26

I LOVE KAKA! He's hot, talented, kind, and unlike other soccer stars, is very loyal to his wife (which is also his longtime friend if I'm not mistaken). His wife is the luckiest woman ever.

  27. 27

    Re: djnv2009
Oh come on, you racist. Kaka is Brazilian, he's the guy in the jeans.
And whatever you're trying to say about Samuel Eto'o and Salley Muntari, many people admit that they're talented and worthy human-beings.

  28. 28

    Re: no comment

    so very true

  29. 29

i like the one on the very left :)

  30. 30

Being soccer players shouldn't they all be wearing skirts?

  31. 31

Donovan looks really awkward and Kaka shouldn't have been wearing jeans. Definitely not the photo it could/should have been.

Re: Cheezees – "In other countries soccer (football) joins communities and the nation. Here it promotes "celebrity" which is not what sport is about. BOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Let me correct you…. HERE soccer is known by nothing else besides "that sport that you only play until your 5 unless you're mother is crazy and doesn't let you play football or if you're a wuss who's too small or weak for football." We think of them as shin-grabbing sissy's who fake injuries and never score more then three times a game (WOW HOW EXCITING IS THAT) 90% of the game is watching people run back and fourth. The only soccer players we know are the hot ones, and it's not because we PROMOTE them, it's because they whore themselves out. David Beckham has been DESPERATELY trying to be famous in the States for YEARS. FOOTBALL and BASEBALL join communities and give each city their own team to be proud of and cheer for. We just like a different sport than you, but our sports serve the same purpose as soccer does for you. You have no clue what you're talking about.

  33. 33

oy vey… is this the best they could come up with??? those five are fugly. there are wayyyy hotter men in futbol. o_O
    Iker Casillas - Spain
    Fabio Cannavaro - Italy
    Roque Santa Cruz - Paraguay
    Rafa Marquez - Mexico
    Didier Drogba - Ivory Coast
    Carlos Bocanegra - USA
    Carl Valeri - Australia
    and that's just a few. o_O

  34. 34

Re: hocus pocus – yikes… chill out. americans love their baseball and their "football" and the rest of the world loves world football. fyi… in countries where futbol is played (most of the world), they also have teams for each of their cities, regions, and states… it's not only national teams. it's truly a universal game.

  35. 35

"The US turns every sport in an extreme money-making commercial farce that alienates players from their so-called fans."

    1) Yes. US sport franchises are out to make money. What's wrong with that? European sport franchises LOSE money. Figure out why several English Premier League teams are insolvent then get back to me on your criticism of US Sports Business practices.
    2) US Fans are small in number, but just as passionate as any other.
    2) Landon Donovan qualified himself as a world-class player this winter during his stint with Everton. He helped school Chelsea and Man United. Just watch the replays. They couldn't stay with him.

Your attack against American players just reflects your deep-seated insecurity and fear that one day we'll contend for the title of "World's Best." Laugh all you want… it's just a matter of time. Considering how we did in the Confederations Cup (which England didn't qualify for), maybe our time is arriving sooner than you think.

  36. Tonio says – reply to this

First these footballers aren't the best, in particular Muntari and Donovan. Then base-ball and american football are only played in North America by unknow guys whereas many footballers are considered as gods in the whole world: Maradona, Pelé, Zidane… Actually, its true: football is NOT a real sport: it's a RELIGION.

p.s. Leo MESSI est le meilleur! J'espère qu'il va mener l'Argentine à la finale, ça lui assurerait un deuxième Ballon d'Or.
