The Washington Post Co. is putting Newsweek up for sale!

Sales have been dragging for quite some time and they're hoping a new owner can turn things around.

We don't know how likely that is with up-to-the-minute news so readily available online — the times have changed!

Newsweek is for sale because no one wants to read that pathetic liberal anti-American crap - New York Times should be following suit shortly.

  2. 2

With hope, they'll go non-partisan. Newseek used to put Time magazine to shame because they were unbiased. Then they lost their way and began idealizing left wing demigods. I want the news, not opinionated reporting.

  3. 3

Thats what happens to far left radical papers that most people dont and cant relate to!

  4. 4

    Yeah, that's the ticket.
It's not Pravdaweek's message or they're pimps for the DNC.
It's the internet and they have competition.
You'd think there's enough Libs to keep one of their premier propaganda magazines from going under.

Who's that on the cover??!?!?! He's cute!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. 6

That soldier on the cover is pre-eminently fuckable. wow

  7. 7

I guess nobody wants to subscribe to the Barack Obama weekly newsletter!! What a shame…its not like anyone will miss you.

  8. 8

Whoever it is on the cover, they're just pretending they care about our brave military men and women…and they're OUR sons and daughters. Not theirs. Afterall, the war is lost.

maybe News Corp should buy it and start printing truths instead of left wing hate and lies

Newsweek is run by a bunch of Marxist Rahm Emanuel clones who hate everyone who isn't from their tribe, and have been using the magazine to promote their sleazy Marxist friends and help them make more $$$$

People are sick of this crap.

Re: uw101 – Try FOX ´news´ that tells you the truth!! yeah haidy partner!

Newsweek has become little more than an op-ed extension of the Post. If someone is stupid enought to buy it, they'll have an uphill battle trying to turn it into a credible publication again. I don't even see it in office reception areas anymore.

  14. 14

I was going to subscribe to Newsweek, but I got a subscription to TIME for 1/4 the price of Newsweek instead.

I use to like to read that rag while waiting in offices, but now I can't understand a thing written in it; the articles are broken up five or six times with ad breaks everywhere.

  16. 16

Newsweek is biased leftist rat filth.

  17. 17

'Newsweak' has become an irrelevant rag that no one reads anymore. Let it die and their dumb reporters start working at Starbucks!

  18. 18

Ya I know, it's so ready at your fingertips Perez, that 95% of what you post is copied.

  19. 19

And this is why you write a pathetic blog, and don't do much else, Pig Face. You are a clueless douche about most things in life, so no one would expect you to grasp how periodic publishing works. Stick to commenting on what you know. Oh, yea, that's not much.

  20. 20

Oh wow! This is Eric, he's from my area.. One of the few nice guys around and engaged to a very sweet girl!

Many of the commenters on this thread don't know the first thing about news nor they care. The loss of NewsWeek and the fate of much of print journalism is a travesty. Sadly, commenters don't care their futures will be affected with the erosion of print journalism because issues that affect them will not get the coverage or analysis good news magazines like NewsWeek provide. The more good reportage is lost, the dumber our society will be, as evidenced by your commenters. And Perez, if it wasn't for print, you'd have nothing to copy. Hack.

what's happening to the press is beyond scary. we never hear about the 2 wars this country is in.
