Matthew Morrison is a big name in the Broadway community and absolutely deserves to be on Glee so do not say that he is lucky to even be cast. And as much as I do enjoy some of Britney's songs and in some she may be iconic, Justin Bieber is absolutely not iconic in any way. Glee in no way ways has to represent every artist who is seen as "iconic" or innovative, they can perform whoever's music they want!

I love Britney and I love Madonna but the Madonna episode felt very gimmicky and desperate. Yes, they had some really creative and really fun and well done stuff. However, the magic of the show, for me, is when they brake into a song that you didn't expect and it fits the plot so well.
Also I love it when they do at least one broadway number in each episode. This is a musical theater group after all. Even if they were able to give the Britney catalog the broadway treatment, Jukebox musicals have always been the stepchild, least-respected musicals.

First of all they dedicated an episode to Madonna, who I love but has also lip synched alot in her day. Why not do a Britney episode? I think it would be amazing! I think some of the actors in Glee really think they are better then they are now that the show has taken off. They really need to get over them selves! A rumor like this is often floated to see if anyone bites. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. It's entirely dependent upon the direction the show's creators want Glee to take. It's success almost gaurantees a bit of a feeding frenzy from all tiers.

MJ, Madonna, Springsteen, the Beatles etc…those are true artists that contributed to their greatness. Besides Madonna's influence on pop culture and music is unrivaled, there are so many other singers that would deserve a tribute episode before they'd ever even mention Britney.
