If only we could all be this lucky. :P

    +Congratulations to her, though!

  2. 2

Let's hope she keeps that mentality and doesn't lose all her money like most other lottery winners. Invest that shit!

  3. 3

Give up the job, some people would love a job like that!

  4. 4

Give up the job so that someone that doesn't have 266 million can make ends meet!

  5. 5

To each their own I guess, but I would imagine that each and everyday this woman is going to think, "yes I really don't need to come in today." Eventually she just might not come in. Just think somebody else could probably use the employment opportunity.

  6. 6

    for fucks sake woman…
    I give it a week

  7. 7

it's wrong for her to now keep her job and TAKE a paying job away from someone who doesn't have 100 million in their bank account…. if she can't imagine not working…. VOLUNTEER! Stupid, selfish woman.

  8. 8

That will last about a 2 weeks until reality sets in.

  9. 9

Congrats to her and Gilbert! Dave Reese, her co-worker, seems like HE'S on fire! LOL. Seems like a fun guy.

  10. 10

lol, she'll keep her job until the first time someone gives her a hard time. Then she'll be outta there.

  11. 11

    Jacki - way to be!

  12. 12

give up the job so someone else can take it who NEEDS the money. . .and you two should get a home gym and stop eating KFC. get off your fat asses and exercise!

  13. 13

Re: devon20 – someone is a little bitter they didn't win the lotto. btw, they weren't eating at KFC, they were eating at L&L.

  14. 14

Fucking idiot. let someone who needs the job have it. they should fire her ass first chance they get.

  15. 15

Many lotto winners say that, at first. She will quit by July.

  16. 16

Why the fuck do people like this win, or even play? We had one here in MI who won 90M and all they wanted to buy was a motorhome & a COW!

  17. 17

I think she's going to work for a week.. Until she goes shopping and realizes she can buy the f*cking mall and she won't ever work again in her life

  18. 18

Don't thank God, thank the poor other saps who probably need the money more than you two. And perhaps you should both purchase a personal trainer and a chef to help you get slim enough to enjoy the money. Er, just a thought…

  19. 19

Seriously people, these spiritual people are always blessed. There's a reason.

  20. 20

If I was lucky enough to win a huge chunk of money, I would want to enjoy every minute of the freedom to travel, pursue hobbies, and JUST LIVE!
Come on lady; quit work, appreciate your good fortune, and provide a job to someone who really needs it.

  21. 21

Re: backstreetchix97 – hey shitface, the fat bitch said she LIKES KFC, so they do eat there–just not that night.

  22. 22

is she kidding?! you have all this money that buys you freedom to live out your dreams and you just keep WORKING ?!!!

She must be in shock :P I hive her a week too .

  23. 23

Good for her. It probably won't last long though. Most lottery winners end up not having too great of a life.

  24. 24

With unemployment raytes as high as they are she should quit her job and let someone who needs it have it. If she feels the need to work she should volunteer or buy herself a business and create even more jobs.

  25. 25

I had a coworker win $2 million, and it changed him. Yes, he kept working as he was due to retire in 2 years, and $2 million isn't a huge amount. It changed him for the better, he was happier, more confident, travels a lot now that he is retired, purchased a nice but not excessive new home. Treated all his co-workers to a nice night out after the win. The biggest change was how much more outgoing he became - I'm happy for him, not envious.

  26. 26

Yeah, okay. That graveyard shift (and we all know that news pays crap) WILL get old, especially once you have kids. Enjoy the $. And you know everyone is just waiting for u to give notice LOL!

  27. 27

Good luck with that! Just enjoy life.

  28. 28

Some people are just retarded, they have no idea what exists in the world, and know of nothing better than their current sheltered simple life. Generally speaking, people work to buy themselves freedom, these idiots just hit the jackpot and are now worth more than most A list celebs/top CEO's yet have the nerve to say they are going to continue their useless lives in their pointless jobs. They are probably god fearing retards, thus they think by 'working' (being slaved) they will buy their way into "heaven"! These 2 spastics should be put down for being so ignorant.

If they understood the value of a $ (99% of people don't), and what having that kind of coin can let them achieve, then they wouldn't ever consider working again and live a life most can only dream of. But yet again, the most boring, unimagiative down syndrome idiots won the jackpot again - woo.

Fuck, give me $266 mil, i'd invest most (on my own accord - financial advisors are for dumbass illiterate lemmings that mays well be screaming "rob me"), give some away to like 6 close friends/family so they don't have to work bs jobs, purchase 1 or 2 kickass pads in diff areas, and start my own production company!

But then again, i heard in the USA lotto winnings are taxed, and if you take a lump sum, you only recieve half? so they 266 probably turns into around 90m?

And to the ones who went broke - they probably had IQ's below 70 and were about as competent with financials as a rock.

  29. 29

no way in hell would i go back to work if i had that much money…mostly cause my co-workers would probably become so jealous that things would be different between us. because they'd HAVE to come to work. also, i would have more money than my boss then and for him to continue to pay me would seem selfish :) if i won that much money i would probably take it and move out to the alaskan wilderness and build a humongous house and live there with my hubby. cause i know if i didn't i would have a million family members and "friends" knocking on my door for money all the time.

  30. 30

Uh-huh, yeah sure… I am sure this will last.

  31. 31

well, hey, if she's going to be continuing to MAKE money, there's always those of us who are unable to! throw a few mil my way! seriously, though. isn't the reason why people play the lottery in the first place is so they don't have to keep doing what they're doing? SOMETHING must have driven them to want to try and get loads of money. isn't it usually so they can change their lives? and if you ABSOLUTELY must work, maybe get out of the overnight gig and maybe do something a bit more fun (for example- if you like to travel, it wouldn't be too hard to make your way up to "5 star resort/any great getaway secret shopper". hey, you'd have the money to make up whatever job you want!)

  32. 32

Re: cantstopjpp – thank you!!! my thoughts exactly!!

  33. 33

Re: stacey68 – exactly! or get a hobby!

    34

    congratulations!!!

    such nice people!

cisneros (throughout history) is a name that attracts money

    go figure!

    yay!

  35. 35

Most of these people have spent their whole lives as middle class workers…and there are so many on here that say they should quit so someone who's unemployed should get her job. Why in the world would she want to quit??? What would they do at home? And how do you know what will happen in the future?

Many of us save not only for ourselves but for our kids, and future generations of our family. Just because they have money doesn't mean they're stuck-up now and should live the lavish life, because once they do, that money will run out really fast!

  36. 36

    good for her!
i'm the same way. if i ever got rich i just could NOT NOT work!
i need to stay busy, or else my mind gets occupied with depressing shit. plus i need to move around!!!!

  37. 37

    no that just fucking RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. 38

    Re: LilyoftheEmeraldValley

LOL, if you understood money then you might understand that the income from their pointless jobs is like 50 cents p.a now. God dam some people are stupid. Can you fathom the dividends/cap growth/interest they will recieve from investing say half that cash?
Trust me, they can live whatever life they want - besides owning a 100ft boat and a private plane and never have to worry about $$. You should be put down with these degenerates.
Get some education retard, or better yet ebay a brain.

  39. 39

Last year in vegas I won the jackpot of 750k. I gave half away to my employees, they need it the money more than I do.

  40. 40

A couple of fat, comfortable, selfish dumb fucks.

  41. 41

Quit judging her decision!! I don't hear anyone saying Madonna should quit so someone else can sell records, or Donald Trump should quit. People with tons of money keep working every day. That being said, her employer should take a long hard look at her. Maybe they should just fire her, for BEING STOOPID!!

  42. 42

She could do other things to fulfill herself other than a 9 to 5. Her world is limited and all she knows but she needs to break free. The daily grind is not the way to do it.

  43. 43

People like Madonna and Donald Trump employee other people, therefore they are creating jobs. These people are stupid, I give her two months and her ass will be gone.

  44. 44

If I won that much in the lottery I would not stay at the same job. I would give them two weeks notice. Once I got bored, I would donate my time.

  45. 45

if she enjoys her job and what she does, and prior to getting the job she worked towards being able to work as such - then why quit? it's obviously not about the money for her anymore, it's because she clearly doesn't mind her job and it's also something to do.

  46. 46

    …why should she quit?

  47. 47

    Think about it…..
    a) From now on, the moment she gets any guff from her boss, she going to say to herself, "I really don't have to put up with this," and she'll eventually leave.
    b) Her co-workers will be "happy for her" (i.e. envious, but not showing it)….they'll hit her up for money….if she gives them any, they'll think she's a chump, if … if she doesn't they'll think she's a bitch.
c)Some poor slob(s) who'd out of work wishes the lottery winner would quit so they can have a job.
If she wants to "work" she's in a great position to work for herself or even partner up with someone and either start a business or a non-profit….I predict she won't be at her job long…and will probably regret revealing the lottery win (she could have told co-workers that she or her hubby inherited some money…I truly think being a winner of that much money arouses a lot of animosity in others and makes you a target..)
    d) Hubby said at the beginning of the broadcast that he wished to remain anonymous…..she unilaterally decided not to….this is going to result in friction when people start getting really obnoxious about this….I wonder how she would have felt if the position were reversed….

  48. 48

I think I would still work even if I won all that money. I would feel lazy and unfulfilled.

  49. 49

how come someone who could really use the money never wins? It would be nice to see a person who is 25-40 win the lottery and actaully do somthing with it, typical!!!

  50. 50

Pig Face, that's not commitment, that's just sad, not having anything else in your life that gives you pleasure.

  51. 51

If you love your job, that's a central thing to your identity, and it has nothing to do with whether or not you need to do if for the money. I'm a filmmaker and I'll stop doing it when they pry the camera out of my cold dead fingers. Literally. Will never retire, would never give it up for any reason. Plus, so many rich people are totally useless, THAT'S the totally sad life, just slobbing off in front of your pool and getting your hair done and having lunch at expensive restaurants and not contributing anything to the world, or doing anything that's challenging and making you grow as a human being. So good for her! Really glad a deserving person won the lottery!

    52

imgagine what a buck could do. I would quit that job, but I would start some philanthropic foundation to help the homeless or mentally unstable. so many homeless have mental problems and no one helps them. its very sad.

  53. 53

First of all your job does not define who you are as a person. If I won that much money, I would give to charity, help the homeless and help unwanted and abused animals. I think she should let someone have that job that really needs it.
Why weren't those winning numbers on my ticket? I heard on the news that she told the news people that were camped on her doorstep, just leave us alone.

  54. 54

    Good for her! :)
