All of this over a rug?

LOLZ!

Bruce Willis has been slapped with a lawsuit after he returned a $27,000 oriental rug that he refused to pay for and was stained with red wine!

According to the lawsuit, the El Lay store Mansour delivered the rug to Willis' home in December and made it clear that all sales were final. Willis then tried to return it six weeks later, now stained with red wine. He apparently hadn't paid for it yet.

Bruce's lawyer, Marty Singer, claims the rug was never supposed to be purchased - it was lent on consignment, and the actor offered to clean it.

Good lord! How much red wine did they spill on that thing?

What do U think?? Is the rug store trying to take advantage of Bruce Willis or is he being cheap??

a lot of these celebs are really cheap and try to get away without paying for anything. this sounds like another case of this.

Celebs don't think the rules apply to them, Bruce is probably saying "Yeah, I staine it, but if you try to make me pay, I'll sue, we'll go to court but it will cost you a ton in lawyers fees and take 2 years so ha ha ha". What a douchebag.

  12. 12

Is this the best you can pilfer from the tabs, Pig Face?

  13. 13

Companies have insurance for this type of problem. If they lent it to him it should be covered by insurance and therefore no problem. Otherwise he is being cheap.

  14. 14

    no, seriously?

It's a case of they said/he said. They'll have to produce a contract that states the sale was final, or Bruce's camp will have to produce a document that proves it was a consignment. If neither can bring proof to the court, it will be decided on established retail contract law for that state. If there is nothing to deal with this, it will be at the judge's discretion.

…or they'll settle to skip the probable and silly legal fees. Personally, I would let Bruce clean it and be done with it. They can resell the thing. Case closed.

  22. 22

payup Bruce, the rug did not come from Walmart

  23. 23

there's 2 sides to every story. I know that this rug company did this to one of my clients. They claimed something was wrong with the rug and made them buy it. The guy at Mansour is cut throat. BLACKMAIL it's called. Don't ever buy from his store

  24. 24

I agree he is probably being cheap and doesn't wanna pay for it. It seems as if now a days that some celebrity's think since they are "Rich and Famous" that people they in-counter will become star struck and companies they walk into will just bow in front of them and give them something for free thinking that if they serve a celebrity it will bring in more business. All because "so n so" shops here.

Re: ickkyperez – Is Bruce being extorted? Your client could be a witness for his case.

He needs to pay for the rug, it is the right thing to do. He needs to stop buying things he cannot afford!
