Muse Pens First Single For Eclipse Soundtrack

Because there is still little over a month and half to go until The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters, fans will have to settle for the upcoming soundtrack to tide them over.
It was announced that the first single from the movie will be released on May 17th and it will be from the author, Stephenie Meyers', favorite band - Muse.
The name of the song - Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever).
Pretty befitting title for a Muse jam!
The soundtrack hits stores on June 8th. Try not to trample one another while going to get your copy.

Muse ARE a cool band. Smeyer's just obsessed with them, and they inspired her to write the series. So how could they refuse when they asked her? Come on, now. If you know Muse, you know what I'm talking about. If not, then they're British so they're naturally friendly, and Matt (lead singer/guitar) doesn't really know a bunch about the books, but he's agreed to it for HER benefit. Trust me, Muse is an amazing band and even though this movie DOESN'T deserve them, it's going to be a great song anyway.

Congratulations Muse, you've lost all credibility you once had by being linked to these awful films. Twilight's only audience is teenage girls and desperate housewives (or just really, really sad people). I'm still a fan, but I'm very disapointed in them.

Re: Malfinnien – Uh, it's called making money and building your fan base. I hate Twilight, but any band would be stupid not to accept being on the soundtracks. Muse is my favorite band, and while I hate the movies, the soundtracks ARE good, so I don't mind them picking Muse. If it means they play more U.S. dates, then I'm happy! Best live band in the world, yeahhh!!!!

I used to like Muse, sort of. How did they become the Twilght Band? I find this annoying. A friend of mine recently pointed out how Muse is basically U2 for the under 30 crowd, which strikes me as very true

can i really be the only person who thinks that the title of that song is ridiculous? just because super massive black hole worked doesnt mean that they can just flip through an astronomy textbook and use whatever word they land on as the title to a song…

Quite possibly the most overrated group out there. The only "jamming" going on here is what they're sticking up other men's arses.
Yeah, say what you want about the films, but the soundtracks are AMAZING! They introduced me to several incredible indie and British bands (some of which are now my favorites!) and for that I'm grateful! I think those automatically dismissing or hating all things associated with Twilight are looking at this the wrong way… Giving the youth of today some REAL music to listen to, instead of that Miley Cyrus/pop garbage on the radio, will never be a bad thing!!!
I looooooove Muse! Been a big fan since Showbiz, but I have to say Im not liking this new trend to be associated with Twicrap. These guys are true rock with complicated tunes and Matt's voice is truly amazing… you dont need Twilight to get your music heard.

It's probably a very good thing for muse because they get a lot more fans, but I wish they wouldn't continously allow the Twitards to use their music. I hate it that everytime someone asks me for my favorite band and I say it's muse they're like "oh, so you like twilght"? naah I don't! muse is a great band, they've been making great music before twilight and will still make great music when noone talks about those sparkly vamps anymore!

FYI, stephenie meyer wrote the books while listening to their songs, so they will be on every soundtrack and have to be apart of the twilight series. you can't put the blame on them!
