Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh admits that the girls have been growing apart from Nadine Coyle, who now lives in Los Angeles. She explains:
"People look for conflict where there isn’t any. In any group, there will be people you are really on the same wavelength as and others where it’s different. But it doesn’t mean we’re not friends. Nadine lives in LA now so it’s inevitable you grow apart."
Kimba admits that she is closest with bandmates Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts saying that with them, "it's the same [type of relationship as with her oldest friends]."
She also says that the band's year-long hiatus has been good for her. "I really am not competitive with any of the girls," she says. "it's been nice to have a break and do our own things."
That's fine — just as long as you get back together and make some more music!

I like Girls Aloud because there the only type of pop left that I can listen too besides Britney. I like Cheryl too but Cheryl, Kim and Nicola really get on my nerves. I guess they're basically saying that they are all on the same wavelength but Nadine isn't apart of that, LOL. Classic stab from one side to the other. I'm sure that will go over well. I wonder how the rift started and what it's really about. I'm sure the band isn't big enough for Cheryl and Nadine's ego's. That's why they needed to separate and form teams. How sad, or this could be rubbish and just rumors but I sort of believe it because Cheryl is pretty self centered and Nadine is their lead singer and ever since the beginning Cheryl's been dying to move in on her territory. Now that she has her own solo career and it's HUGE Cheryl's ego is the size of the two countries? But that's also because of the XFACTOR and her success with the show. Anyway…what a bunch of bitches!
omg, everyone here sucks. i love girls aloud, and i love that perez loves girls aloud. if you dont know who they are then maybe look at some of the videos on youtube or something, you cant judge them if you dont know them!! plus, its good that perez is promoting english stuff, not all celebrities have to be american. and in terms of girl bands, they're the best ones out at the moment, and truly deserve to get the attention that the spice girls did!
