Ladies In White Celebrate Mother’s Day in Cuba

Yesterday afternoon, the Ladies in White took to the streets of Cuba to peacefully protest once again.

The ladies, known as the Damas de Blanco, protest every year on Mother's Day, walking peacefully through the streets.

The group marches every year to commemorate the anniversary of the 2003 arrests of their husbands, sons, and brothers who are political prisoners.

Hopefully the fact that the women were allowed to carry out their protest and weren't arrested or harassed means things are changing for the better.
