Ashley And Kellan Holding Up Breaking Dawn!
Now that the fourth Twilight novel is being turned into two films, Summit Entertainment rushed to get deals in place for stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Even deals for secondary stars Peter Facinelli and Billy Burke are done, but it hasn't been easy settling up with the entire cast.
The Cullen kids (i.e. Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are demanding bigger paydays. Although their offers from Summit are at least 10 times their salary on the first film, the actors find the paycheck "offensive" given the money Twilight makes at the box office.
"We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point," claims a source.
It's been said that as long as the main trio stays the same, audiences would forgive a casting change.

Ashley Green I can understand. Lutz is ridiculous. He was in what, two scenes in the last film? And had 1 line of dialog? There are plenty of other hot meatheads out there to replace him.

I don't consider myself as a twilight fan, but taking into account the screen time these 2 have in the first 2 movies it barely amounted to more than 15 minutes (adding both movies together) and personally I don't think they deserve a pay raise for this, strictly speaking they aren't the stars of the series, although all of them have a level of acting which any person out there can do for much less.

1. Ashley Green does a good job as Alice but is NOT a well known actress–she needs to compromise with Summit. The character of Alice leaves for a big chunk of the book anyways.
2. Kellan Lutz on the other hand is only getting bigger (and I'm not talking about the fantasmical muscles) The guy is a major Calvin Klein model and becoming more well known within the industry. The character of Emmett provides KEY jokes in Breaking Dawn. Give the man every penny he is asking for to keep him.
3. The chic who plays Rosalie I have NEVER liked. Recast her for a no-name and save money there. No one would mind, really…
4. Breaking Dawn will show R-Patz engaging in "breaking headboards" and covering Bella in feathers from vamp bitten pillows. Does Summit really think they are not going to make a gazillion dollars from tween girls seeing that over and over?

Good for them!! It seems to me that Summit only cares that the main 3 are in the movie and could really care less about the others, even though they make up an intrical part of the cast as well. If Summit decides to throw one of them under the bus, to make a point then I hope that neither returns and that this movie will absolutley suck!! Summit is relying too heavily on the Rob-Kristen-Taylor trio to carry the movie. Sorry but those 3 can not carry this movie like they think. These two people were the only two who I thought actually fit the description of the characters that they were playing. The 3 main ones where not at all what I expected. That is why I have been nothing but disappointed by the whole franchise. Wrong choices for the main 2 characters. Taylor works out ok for Jacob Black.

oh ya - and maybe if studios stopped paying actors so much effing money it wouldn't cost us regular people $50 for movie & food at the theatres. My hubby & I can seriously only afford to go to a couple movies a year, so I have to pick and choose. Twilight movies are better to burn off considering the level of professionalism and "star quality". Good movies, but not worth paying $50 to go and see on a date night.

I know when I saw the first movie (seeing the first midnight showing like any hardcore fan) I was like "really, THAT is suppose to be the most beautiful girl in the world?"
That chic has the biggest asz/thighs of any of the girls in the movie and even the chic that played human Jessica was prettier than her. I always thought they needed to get a skinny fashion model who knew how to give good dirty bitch looks. I mean the character of Rosalie doesn't have that many lines in the 1st two books as it is–they didn't really need to get an actress

Kellen Lutz is replacable. You barely see him in the movies, BUT you cannot replace Ashley Greene. No one else can play Alice. She does such a great job with Alice. And honestly I've thought from the jump that Emmit was poorly cast, the dude should be bigger.

Well, I was pissed when they replaced Victoria. People are right Kellan has begun to make a name for himself and his worth for a job (any job) is going to increase based on that. Alice is ONLY recognizable *because* of Twilight. Any magazine covers, etc.. are because of being "Alice". She does ok with what she has. Meaning the crap script they made out of the Twilight franchise she has done the best I think any actor could, so we can't judge her on her acting skills. If anything replace Jasper, he is awkward and weird and really just takes away from the whole show. He has painful to watch since book 1. Be all of it as it may, I will still be there with midnight tickets with the other Twilight lovers in my house, my kids

Replacing Ashley would be a huge mistake…Alice is a huge favorite..and both have MUCH larger roles in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Those who see Eclipse and then read this are going to have much more beef with it as Alice and Emmett have much more prominent roles

No matter what the studio and everyone else are going to make millions on these movies…. suck it up summit… the twilight series has enabled you to actually have a name in this business (never heard of you before these movies), pay these actors what they feel they deserve (as a healthcare worker I personally believe we are paying actors/sports personalities way too much and should be paying those who give of themselves without thinking of harm to themselves first), but heck; this is the last book of the series and would not be the same without Alice (Ashley Greene) and Emmett (Kellen Lutz). What happened to loving the story? They all do interviews talking about how they love the story and love their characters… then they ask for more money. They are big stars because of Twilight and Summit who cast them when they were nobody. I don't see anyone else playing Alice, but I'm sure they can find someone that I could be happy with, I don't really care about Kellan playing Emmet and it is not like they are going to have a big part on the final movie anyway.
As long as we get Kristen and Rob I'm happy, I don't even care that much about Taylor as Jacob!

What!? Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz are already being offered 10X what they were originally paid in Twilight and they still want more? Ashley Green and Kellan Lutz must NOT take their greed out on Summit because Summit made their careers. These two aren't main cast and don't have as much screen time as Robert, Kristen and Taylor who weren't greenhorns when they were hired, are the main draw of the film version, and are giving back to Summit more than what they were originally paid for. Fact is, Ashley and Kellan had nothing before Twilight and are getting more out of the franchise than Summit is getting from them. What Ashley Greene should do is to negotiate for a better price from those producers giving her new projects because of her Twilight reference. Same with Kellan. Obviously, they wouldn't land these new projects if not for their Twilight exposure which they owe Summit. 10x more than their original pay is no small feat. These two must learn to curb their greed and not bite the hand that feeds them.
