There are only 6 episodes left of Simon Cowell on American Idol and his replacement still has yet to be named!
We hear that Simon's successor will not be revealed until AFTER the May 26 season finale. Fox chairman Peter Rice says:
“We’re not going to rush into something. We’re not going to try to find a Simon clone who can do what he does because, you know, he’s one of a kind. But the [Idol] format itself, people love.”

My idea…… Hire someone who is not famous. Have people send in videos of why they should be chosen. Pick the top 50 and continue this contest on FOX. The judges (I am willing to be one) can narrow it down to the top 20, then let TV viewers decide who the next American Idol judge should be.

I think Gene Simmons from KISS would make a perfect replacement. He knows the music industry and is a badass when it comes to critiquing people. Anyone remember him on Apprentice? He took no prisoners when he worked with those people. He was hilarious!!
