IRS Going After Jeff Bridges!

Bad news for Oscar winner Jeff Bridges. Turns out the 60-year-old is behind on his taxes.
A tax lien was filed in April with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds. And according to the documents, Bridges owes $23,997!
The money is apparently owed from federal employment taxes from 2002 and 2004.
Time to pay up!

What's with all the stories lately about celebrities not paying their taxes? I can understand if you're a minor celebrity - Linsay Lohan - then $24k would be like 10 years of income. But for Jeff Bridges this has to be chump change, right?
That's chicken feed. Why go after this when so many way bigger fish are in arrears?

Seriously, though, people. Guys making that much money aren't doing their own taxes-it's likely an oversight on the part of his financial people that will be paid right away…just before he hires a new accountant.
Heh, if elected officials don't feel the need to be current on their taxes, it doesn't surprise me that celebrities are lax.
He's a scruffy looking old man with that special something I just can't put my finger on. I've liked him since Jagged Edge and LOVED him in The Contender…too bad he won't pay his taxes but it just adds to his loner charm.
These celebrities need to get off their lazy asses, put down the drinks, load the bong later, forget the needle, and the coke just long enough to sober up and do their OWN taxes and stop making excuses for why they went broke.
