But not everyone is so willing to forgive and forget.
Talk show host Montel Williams took to Twitter when he heard the news to vent his frustration and disgust with the reality star.
And he's not shy about saying it!
Director Oliver Stone says, "It was all thanks to me," when talking about the off-screen relationship of co-stars Carey Mulligan and Shia LaBeouf who met on the set of his flick Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
"You could see their chemistry right away, and it was pretty powerful," Stone admits. "They were completely professional on the set, but there was no mistaking what was happening."
Shia and Carey haven't been hiding their affection for one another while in Cannes, stealing romantic moments now and again, so things seem to be going well. Stone continues:
"I was thrilled when I realized they were going to be an item. It just made their scenes together all the better – especially the love scenes. Let's just say it was no stretch for them."
They do make a pretty cute couple, but how long will it last?
What do U think?
