TERRIBLE & DISGUSTING> How SELFISH OF THEM TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY AT SUCH OLD AGES BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL MOURNING THEIR DECEASED CHILD. BECAUSE OF SCIENTOLOGY THEY PROBABLY DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE RISKS. THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING AND ADOPTED A 20 YEAR OLD CHILD THAT IS ALREADY ON THIS PLANET, Suffering somewhere, and needs to be brought into a nice home. They are so selfish to want their own, biological child at that age….and for those reasons.

I'm hoping they used donated egg and sperm. As you age, your risk of having a child with Autism increases….they don't need the heartache of dealing with that again. I'm the mother of an Austic child…earlier this year at the age of 42 I became pregnant. I was actually relieved when I had a miscarriage. I love my son with all of my heart, but my hands are full. I hope it all works out for them.

Re: whoev – Great minds think a like = Shoe Whore & H8trboi
win the aholes of the evening awards, but my there are a lot of stupid, jealous
losers commenting on things they know nothing what so ever about. In fact
I think they are the "retards" they keep talking about & more than likely their
mother's were the ones w/ damaged eggs & messed up gene pools!

The GODS had to give this family a break.

Well I think this is absolutely wonderful. Congrats to John and Kelly! They deserve it, regardless of their celebrity, or their dabbling in Scientology, this is truly a blessing for any couple, especially after losing a child.

  6. 106

So after realizing her dried up powdered eggs wouldn't do, she stopped off at the Nanu Nanu Scientology Store to pick up a dozen eggs.

This family deserves some happy news.

Re: Meowch – What are you talking about? Wasn't her first born Jett? Did she have another baby before him?

  9. 109

Why? You can't replace a lost child & she is too old to do this.Maybe they
have a surrogate which is still wrong going back to replacing & age.
    They are just strange!

  10. 110

They really deserve this happiness…wishing them the very best with their family!!!!!!

  11. 111

Congratulations to them both! A happy piece of news for a change, for this family.

  12. 112

Wonderful news. Great parents deserve children! Well done & good luck.

Re: Miss Moneypenny – totally true.

  14. 114

first of all 47 isnt THAT old!!! people live longer these days. Its not like she's 60. Plus either she had her eggs frozen earlier and their hers or yes a donor egg. They should say how they did it because alot of women think they have time to have thier own kids but they dont. I think 40 or 41 is the cutoff. If you're lucky. And most of us regular people dont freeze eggs. I hope they discuss it. At least the medical part of it. Good for them though. And to say they are doing it to replace their son is CRAZY! U cant replace a human being. Maybe they just wanted another one. They are SOOO fing rich! That kid will live a great life.

    Re: lala nyc

Honestly I use to think like that, but you'd be amaze how age catches up to you and functionality starts to get limited. My father use to say having babies is a young person's job and now realize he is right.

But back to topic, the Travolta's will have plenty of money and help to raise any kind of child, they are not the norm. I hate Scientology though, to me in this scenario this is the biggest fly in the ointment.

  16. 116

47 and pregnant? Is she carrying the baby or a surrogate? Happy for them.

    117

I wish them the best - though a bit scared for them. They already lost a son to Autism/Seizures, and what are the chances of having a down's baby at 47? So so high. Maybe she had her eggs frozen years ago — or so I hope. I know I wouldn't want to be 67 with a 20 year old. Yikes…..

  18. 118

i'm glad they are expecting a child. a child may help heal their wounds from losing their dogs and their son.. but a part of me is not. that child will be born or raised into scientology :( tsk*tsk

  19. 119

a Huge Congrats to them!! They totality deserve nothing but happiness after what they went through. I wish her a healthy pregnancy.

  20. 120

to all the people that are bashing them that they are to old to have children is just bullshyt let them be happy they deserve to be whether or not they are using a surrogate mom or not..

  21. 121

I certainly hope they are adopting an older child. It is extremely selfish to have a baby when you are in your late 40's. Even early 40's is not good. The poor child will be sacked looking after elderly parents instead of going out into the world and enjoying his/her youth.

  22. 122

Some of you are completely tasteless and nasty, there is no need for these comments! Yes there is a much higher risk with age, but the comments added in apart from the ovious risks is stupid. My mum had me in her mid 40's and dad was 15yrs younger, and she outlived him! only thing bad was that I have a sister 23yrs older than me and everyone thinks shes my mum, I am 27

  23. 123

Re: DoctorPS – Jett was not her first born. She had a child with Kevin Gage. The child use to be mentioned in their biographical material. Now, the child has been airbrushed away. Lovely….

  24. 124

God Bless them…I have always liked him even though he belongs to an insane cult…..he at least is fairly reserved about it not like some other celebrity (initials TC)

  25. 125

I can not believe most of these comments!!!! I am in NO WAY a fan of Scientology, but for GOD"S SAKE people, what the hell is wrong with all of you?! Who the hell gave you the right to be so judgemental about people having a baby later in life? Especially rich people with everything in the world to offer a child. Where are all of you to yell at the 17 year old single mom, still in high school and without a place to go or two dimes to rub together who announces that she is pregnant. Let me add that I am not, in any way saying, that a 17 year old pregnant woman deserves this kind of nonesense either, she should also get support, I am just trying to point out that, whatever you all think of the Travoltas, this baby will have everything, indisputably more than most babies have…love, money, family…in the end there is nothing else anyone could want! Keep your stupid comments to yourself, especially about a couple who tragically lost a child recently! Sick, sick people!

    Re: truelovebabydoll – TRUE DAT!

  27. 127

Travolta is ready to be a Grandpa not a Father !!!

  28. 128

That poor kid it's parents will look like grandparents when the kids is in its teens. I don't get why people have kids to help them get through their mid-life crisis!

  29. 129

Some of you are so uninformed. Assuming it's her egg, the odds are STILL that the child will be just fine. A younger mom has about a 1 in 1,000 chance of having a mentally handicapped baby (ie. Downs) With a woman Kelly's age, I believe the odds are about 1 in 100 that the baby will have problems. Still a 99% chance the kid will be fine. Stop being such haters. A woman can have a baby until she reaches menopause. It's harder, but it can be done….

  30. 130

    ew. just, ew.

at least if they get a handicapped one we know they can cope, they've done the hard duty already.

Poor Ella. she'll be left with a sib 11 years younger when her parents kick off. Did Kelly quit smoking? Travolta is TOO OLD to have a newborn. Maybe they are adopting a 10 year old, that would be cool! actually 56 is old to have a 10 year old too. bleah.

and no, I'm not bigoted about handicapped kids, I have one myself.

Re: contrarianchick – THEN DO THE WORLD A FAVOR AND DONT HAVE ANY MORE KIDS. SOCIETY DOESNT NEED YOUR FUCT UP GENES IN THE GENE POOL

  36. 136

I DONT KNOW WHAT IS WORSE–TRAVOLTA AND HIS WIFE DELIBERATELY HAVING THESE RETARDED BABIES OR THESE CELEBRITIES (ANGELINA, SANDRA, MADONNA) THAT ADOPT THESE BLACK KIDS FROM AFRICA AND BRING THEM TO THIS COUNTRY. THEY BOTH MAKE ME SICK AT MY STOMACH

  37. 137

A 47 year old woman doesn't get pregnant naturally. She just doesn't. Probably a donor egg. In any case, I wish them some happiness. Whatever might bring joy to them…they have earned it.

  38. 138

Re: moxiecrimefighter – What was wrong with their reference to Karma? Karma = Law of Cause & Effect (the law of moral causation). Basically it means we receive what we give and a lot of people on this feed are giving out a lot of negative energy. Watch who it is that you are calling ignorant!

  39. 139

shes nearly 50 and already had a kid with autism
    not good

  40. 140

Re: Dixie77 – Although it's none of my business, something I'm curious about. If it's John's sperm and a donor egg, why not have a surrogate carry the baby? Why put yourself thru that when you're in your late 40's? If I was Kelly, that's what I'd do, anyway. But then again, it could be her's. Unlikely, but if they had medical intervention, who knows? It could be an egg she froze from when she was a bit younger.

  41. 141

If she got pregnant, then she is not too old to be having a baby. Also, they do an amnio on pregnant women over 35 to test for birth defects, downs syndrome etc. So at this point, I'm sure they know if there are any problems with the baby and since they are announcing the news I think it is safe to say that the tests showed the baby was healthy. I think the bigger issue is…. who are we to say that someone we don't even know is too old to reproduce or will produce a handicapped child? I am amazed by all the negative and down right mean and uncalled for comments; is that what it take to make some of you feel good about yourself? It is sad.

Re: Lilygirl27 – Yes, it mostly is. A surprising lot of women start menopause anywhere after 35, more do around 40, more around 45 ish, and the stragglers a bit after that. Plus you never know which age group is going to be you.

  43. 143

Re: @v@ – You are confusing menopause and periomenopause. Most women in my family (and group of friends) stopped getting their periods in their early 50's. So the periomenopause STARTED in the mid-40's. Not finishing, starting. Things only start slow down earlier then that in extreme cases….

  44. @v@ says – reply to this

    144

Re: TorontoBitch – No, I'm not confusing anything. That may be the age in YOUR family, but it's a lot younger for many women. They are shocked when it happens, and some delayed childbirth only to be told they are done. I just don't want these younger girls to think they can delay until 47. Chances of pregnancy decline fiercely past 35.

  45. @v@ says – reply to this

    145

Re: TorontoBitch – …plus the likelihood of this pregnancy at 47 happening without expensive clinical help is extremely low. It could happen, but it would be a rarity.

  46. 146

Re: @v@ – Oh, I agree that at 47 she had help, or it's not her egg. And I do know that fertility starts to decline at 35. (luckly, all the women in my family had babies in their late 30's. None took more than a couple of months to get pregnant. Could be good luck, tho) I was just surprised that you said menopause starts in mid-30's. I would think that would be quite rare. But yes, for sure, fertility starts to decline then….Never a good idea to wait too long if you want kids…..
