Yes! Yes! Yes!

Are you ready for this, Gleeks?!

Ryan Murphy has just CONFIRMED that the producers of Glee will be doing a sequel to their smash episode, The Power of Madonna!

And they might even snag the diva to make an appearance!

Murphy says:

“I can’t say. But she’s sort of the muse of our show. She loves the show and has supported it. She gets that the show is about arts education and so she’s very supportive about that.”

Our prayers have been answered! We seriously can't wait!

What Madge songs do U think they should sing this time around??

Re: YoungTaurus – You sound like a halfway smart person. Don't get into that. Comparing Madonna's and MJ's success in the past 15 years is ridiculous. Madonna's been way more successful than MJ. It's not even a matter of numbers. It's the whole context: MJ hasn't released new material in years and his career was already done. Any item (cd/dvd/tour) he decided to release was seen as "the last chance to see the king". That changes everything. The numbers go up, hon. Do you know anything about marketing? Madonna, on the other hand, never stopped. She's been very active since day one. And whenever she releases something, no one ever thinks it might be her last-whatever. All her studio albums were #1 in the USA. They all had top 10 hits (even American Life - Die Another Day). She didn't have only one successful tour, all her tours were successful. And in case you don't know, Madonna holds 4 tours on the top 15 tours of the decade. Her spots are #1 Sticky and Sweet, #2 Confessions Tour, #3 Re-Invention and #10 Drowned world. As you can see, very active, never selling a "last chance" item. Seriously, you may not like Madonna, but please, be real. Get real.

Yes, I am halfway smart, and I appreciate your unneeded and unwarranted assessment of my intelligence, but I never said Madonna was not successful. However, going to #1 on the album charts does automatically mean success; there's a lot of what would be called unsuccessful albums that have made it to #1. Madonna's HARD CANDY album went to #1 on the pop charts, but barely sold 4 million around the world, but do you really think she made money off of that album? Do you think producers like Pharrell, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Kanye West come for free? I'm willing to bet she barely broke even on that record, or AMERICAN LIFE, for that matter. Do YOU know anything about business, hon? Madonna's a smart businesswoman, and that's why she tours, because she knows the money is in tours and not album sales.
As for MJ's success, my argument wasn't an MJ vs. Madonna argument (but I can see how you Madonna fans would take it as such; you're all crazy like that), but a response to someone saying Michael Jackson wasn't successful. You can say his career was already done, a very subjective and disputable claim, but I already cited examples of his success and I'm not going to repeat myself. Success is success, no matter how you break it down.
I find your condescending nature amusing, but please, honey, don't assume I don't know what I'm talking about.

"I feel sorry for those who say things like "they need to do a Michael Jackson episode". Michael Jackson stands for depression, no control over his own career, not even his personal life, drug abuse and crazyness."

Well, you admit you don't watch the show, so that shows your ignorance right there. The characters on the show are a hodgepodge of different & flawed personality types, very much like the Britneys and MJs of the world. You're judging Michael's personal life, but it would be his music that would be featured on the show–not a show about him, Michael Jackson's music to some was uplifting and inspiring; he sang about unity and peace, he addressed social issues like homelessness, poverty, AIDS, violence & racism; it's actually YOU for whom people should feel sorry, since you seemed to have overlooked all that in order to put Madonna on a pedestal.
And while you may see Madonna as healthy & positive, others may see her as narcissistic, opportunistic, a thief of ideas, morally corrupt, etc. Don't pretend your opinion of her speaks for everyone's or that yours is better. And you might want to watch the show–then you won't sound like you're talking out your ass.

PS. When MJ released HISTORY in 1995, it wasn't promoted as "the last chance to see the king." It was subtitled PAST, PRESENT, & FUTURE PART 1 (indicating there would be more to come from him), and it included a whole disc of new material. INVINCIBLE wasn't promoted as such either. The only thing that was actually promoted as a last chance to see the king was his 2009 London shows.
His career was sidelined due to legal trouble, and he took time off (smart move on his part, actually) to remove himself from the public eye and raise his family. Just because he didn't remain continuously active, that doesn't make him less of an artist. Get real, indeed!

      Re: YouKnowNothing
Actually the #1 top tour of the decade was the Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang Tour. Not only was it the top grossing tour of the decade, it was biggest grossing tour of all time.

      Re: YouKnowNothing
You're a pathetic and sad little puppy. You would sound more intelligent if you actually watched the show. Michael's music deserves as much recognition on GLEE as anyone else. You really think Madonna is really that nice and positive as a person? All that stuff you mentioned how she effects people is superficial bullshit. Snap out of it and enter the real world. YouKnowNothing – ..you don't know shit.
And since you like quoting trivia, of the top 25 selling albums of all time, MJ has 3 spots..#24 (BAD), #16 (DANGEROUS), and that's right, #1 (with THRILLER). The only people that ever talk about Madonna's tours are Madonna's lame fans, and frankly, no one really cares how well her tours did. Michael's legacy and music will be talked about forever.
