Coldplay To Take U2's Glastonbury Spot?

Possibly!

With Bono of U2 having to undergo back surgery, the band will be unable to headline the Glastonbury Festival in the UK as planned.

Festival organizers are now scrambling to find a replacement and it seems that Coldplay could be the answer!

Chris Martin and the gang are said to be considering the offer as well as London rapper Dizzee Rascal.

Who would U rather see take the stage?

WOW!! I love Coldplay. I saw them live at Wembley. They KNOW how to put on a show. Best gig EVER. And i've been to a lot of gigs. I would kill to be at Glasto if they were there…

This picture of Coldplay is funny. Wonder how many stylists brainstormed to replicate a "Joe Strummer Clash" costume. Can't stop the laughing because Coldplay produce harmless elevator MOR music for tasteless yuppie skags users.

    @feel_the_darkness
Actually, no stylists created those sgtpepperesque uniforms, their manager (who considers himself an 'artist') helped them to create their own clothes. They're not as manufactured as you make them out to be.
And stop the hating. All music is subjective. The fact is Coldplay are great performers, and Glastonbury is a festival of the performing arts- it doesnt matter what type of music it is as long as you are entertained. If they do headline I'll probably see them

Young people who love music….you MUST go to Glastonbury before you get old. It's definitely a Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll trip for you to take to England.

I still vote for Chemical Brothers or Underworld to close out the festival.

Both these bands suck , so niether.
U2 are old, bland and generic and Coldplay are slightly younger, bland and generic

    Re: KatLee
why aren't people allowed to hate whatever they want? Music isn't always so subjective, that's what people with horrible taste telling themselves.

Re: luvstotango – i'll keep that in mind..

  14. 14

    U2 and Coldplay suck.

  15. 15

    Where are you? ym

  16. 16

Ahhhh..the good old days of Radiohead

  17. 17

heggoo you obviously haven't been to enough gigs or maybe you have the same taste in music as KatLee…that's one bitch that should be run down with a tractor trailer or better yet a semi. I'd do it myself but unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover shit stains.

    Coldplay!

Re: opiateruby – Whoa, real mature there. I wasnt being a bitch or publicy attacking the guy in my comment, I really don't deserve running down for that. But if you must, you must. I'll stand here in virtual reality and you clean the shit stains off you laptop. Rtard.

I was just saying that I don't think Coldplay are all that bad.
Re: luvstotango – When he referred to to the fanbase as 'tasteless yuppie skags users'- that was the hating I was referring to. People can like or dislike who they want, I was just throwing my opinion out there saying that I think they'd be a great performance at Glastonbury.

Re: opiateruby – I don't listen to Coldplay music, so you really know nothing about my music taste. I'm not a massive fan of them, I just think they'd be good to see at Glastonbury. A festival is completely different to a normal gig.

And anyway, who cares- Mos Def, The Flaming Lips and The XX are playing at the same time, doubt anyone will be there to watch Coldplay.
