What A Waste Of Money!

| Filed under: Music MinuteSuper Seniors

Aerosmith is going to make New York State Fair history this August by being the first act to command a $1 million performance fee!

And if the show sells out they will get $300,000 more! Tickets for the show are at an all-time high as well with the top tier coming in at $104 and the lowest at $34 — which is pretty high for a state fair.

What a waste! New York, what are you thinking?!

Yaaaaaaay ! let's go see some way past their prime rockers With a drugged out old man out front at over the top prices . The time is now.

  2. 2

Let's see….over 20 years of Rocking, multiple top selling albums, multiple # one hits…it looks to me they've earned to command that kinda of money. Now stop hating and go get laid……cause honey…you're bitchy bitchy….

  3. 3

why not? Britney gets paid that for lip synching….just saying.

  4. 4

Yes indeed, New York State Fair, what were you thinking? You could have gotten Sliimy, Travis Garland, the Male Orifice Choir, and Cosmic Butt-Waxers of the New Millenium all for a fraction of the price from Pumpkinhead Presents.

new york is the only state with backstage wheelchair ramps!

  6. 6

I'd go in a heartbeat if I could. Those tickets are cheap considering what some newer artists charge for tickets that I couldn't care less about!! GO AEROSMITH!

  7. 7

Are you kidding me, Perez?!? Aerosmith rocks

  8. 8

Fuck you Mario …you wish you could command that. at least the write play and sing their music, not like those lip syncing lame dancers you call musicians…blow it out your ass fat boy.

  9. 9

Maybe they were thinking that Aerosmith would bring a lot more people into the fair than say, Lady Gaga.

I live 10 minutes away from where the State Fair if held every year, and these prices got everyone talking. The lowest price is $84 btw….and I plan on attending no matter what the cost. Opportunities to see true rock legends live are few and far between.

    aerosmith sucks

  12. 12

I know you have never seen Aerosmith live because you always bad mouth them. Get a clue. Go to a show and then you will stop your uninformed opinions about the greatest American live band ever. These guys bring it live period. They are the best.

Perez do you even listen to Aerosmith? Psh, lmao.

  16. 16

Only if Steve gets so high and falls off the stage would this be worth seeing!

  17. 17

I live in Syracuse (where they have the fair) and I had NO idea that they were playing. That's how important it is to us….lol!

  18. 18

Love all those on the AARP concert circuit. :)

  19. 19

    I'm in Albany and…NO THANKS!!

  20. 20

I live 10 mins away and the state fair actually gets really good artists. why aren't you talking about your precious princess riri? she's playing too.

  21. 21

I'm peruvian and I just paid a little more than 200 dollars to go see them. IT WAS DEFINATELY WORTH IT!!!

  22. 22

I've been to five of their concerts and they are great live. I mean shit, steven tyler was born in like 48' ha and he can still rock harder than little miss halloween freak show gaga and britney spears combined my friend. They've been around about as long as the rolling stones…so yea I think they've earned it ya pedo.

  23. 23

they have a hell of a nerve charging that much for a show. the first (and last ) time i saw them we left after 5 songs. they suck big time…

They put on a good show, and there are millions of people in New York, (they support three hockey teams if you count Jersey) so a sellout is doable there if anywhere.

  25. 25

Have you ever seen them in concert? Worth it!

  26. 26

Aerosmith put on a great show. I wouldn't pay that much…I'd have to buy the cheap tickets.

  27. 27

Waste of money my skinny butt!! They are phenomenal in concert, not to mention very accomidating to their fans at video shoots- for the video for "Dream On" they perfomed practically a whole concert for the audience, it was so great, and such NICE people. They deserve the $, they are older and have been performing longer than most posters on your site have been alive!

For the chance to see rock legends that still put on a great show? Umm yea, id definitely go!

  29. 29

I've seen these guys live and Steven Tyler IS one of the best frontmen alive, but come on, these guys have been overcharging fans for OVER 8 years! Where have you been America? Charging $104 to see them at top tier is a bargain!

  30. 30

I've seen Aerosmith LIVE and Steven Tyler is one of the BEST frontmen alive! But Aerosmith have been gouging their fans for the past 6 years, just to see legends play-where have you been? Actually $104 for top tier is not too shabby!

  31. 31

    Not a waste!!!

  32. 32

A waste? Why is it that brilliantly gifted musicians can be old and still accepted if they are classical musicians, for example, but not popular musicians? Music is an art form, and age is not a relevant point in whether or not an artist has a gift.

  33. 33

Aerosmith use to be my all time fav band. Went to see them 3 years ago in PEI (Canada). They arrived an hour late and didn't play hardly any of their hits. It was an aweful concert and I WANT MY MONEY BACK! TERRIBLE.

  34. 34

perez shut up. It is totally worth and u dont know music. most of what u like is crap. btw, the show is sold out, and they r actually selling party tickets which are pretty expensive and u need a ticket to the show to be able to purchase a party ticket
