Bono Is Doing "Excellent"!
U2's upcoming tour, however, not so much.
We are happy to report that Bono is doing exceedingly well after undergoing emergency spinal surgery.
Though he faces two months of grueling physical therapy, he was discharged from the Munich hospital this morning with his doctor's blessing.
When asked about the procedure and recovery time for Bono, Dr. Jeorg Tonn explained:
"The surgery was the only course of treatment for full recovery and to avoid further paralysis. Bono is now much better, with complete recovery of his motor deficit. The prognosis is excellent, but to obtain a sustainable result, he must now enter a period of rehabilitation."
Translation: No U2 in town for you, U.K. and U.S.
With Bono in therapy, all of their upcoming tour dates have been postponed.
We think we speak for everyone when we say that the tour can wait. Bono needs this time to get back on his feet. The guy could use some rest.

No, he's not doing 'excellent', nor is he doing 'good'. He is doing 'excellently' or 'well'. Learn to use the English language correctly, FFS. And by the way, the doctor, a German whose native tongue isn't even English, said 'the prognosis is excellent', which is perfect English. You paraphrased him, and fucked up the English grammar in doing so. Tool.
I'm devastated that I won't be seeing them this summer, but I hope Bono gets better! Interesting that you are all pro-Bono (ha) now Perez as you've said some pretty nasty things about him before.

I had the very same surgery in November… and I still haven't been released to go back to work, yet… I don't even go back to the Doctor until August, which will be 9 months, minimum, without being able to work… Just hope he doesn't push himself too hard and damage the work the Doctor has already done!! It's a LONG process, but well worth it, in the end…

really who gives a fuck bout this guy. im so over him from like 1980. why doesnt he try to be a winner in the eyes of his kids and family. wtf else has he got to prove?? it seems he is in denial of getting old, and dealing with his own reality…
I have to agree with Poosie–but not in a negative way. I love Bono. He has accomplished much. But I agree that he needs to concentrate on his family–and stop leaving the full raising of his children to his wife. This is just a wakeup call to let him know that he needs to take a break.
